priceless
on december 5th, at 3 in the morning... i crept in from our christmas party beside cole... she was sleeping soundly-- or so i thought... for when i kissed her forehead, she opened her eyes, smiled, and sat up...
i showed her the mardi gras bead necklaces i took home for her- gold, green, and violet... her eyes shone bright and she smiled in such a magical way i can't help but smile back and feel the same excitement i see in her eyes.
she kept on saying "wow!" looking up at me as if asking,"is this really for me, mommy?" i've never seen her so happy...
"why don't you try it on?" i whisphered. then i put it around her neck and she held it, kissed it, then she looked up at me, motioned to hug me saying, "wow! mommy ooh!" (which i believe is her way o saying thank you). then she planted a kiss on my cheek, laid down, closed her eyes, smiling...
i closed my eyes and welcomed sweet rest with a smile...
