Good news, bad news, good news
Good news #1-I GOT ACCEPTED BY CPS TO BE A STUDENT TEACHER!!! I made it through all the stages, and so now am completely cleared by CPS. This means I will definitely be student teaching in March, just don't know where yet. I'm SO excited!!!
Bad news-I came down with a nasty cold yesterday morning. I was totally fine when I went to bed, then woke up at like 2 AM feeling like crap. I took good care of myself, and am now feeling much better-though now I'm in the rundown phase where I can barely move cause my body's so achy and exhausted. Oh well, at least I'm getting better really quickly, which is always good (knock on wood). I just have to go to class tonight, and then I can come home and crawl right into bed.
Good news #2-On Monday, my friends from Scotland arrive for two weeks! Backstory is when my family went to Scotland a few years ago, all the hotels were booked because of a million festivals going on. So we ended up staying with a friend of a friend. His son, Steven, and I became really good friends, and when I was studying abroad two summers ago, I spent a week in Scotland with him and his brother Michael.
Now their dad, Frank, is marrying that friend who introduced us all in the first place, which means the boys are flying in for the wedding. They're coming early and staying late, and I am so excited for them to meet my friends here and see my city.
