"Uncle Jack, I wanna go on the Ferris wheel!" Aaron said excitedly, tugging on Jack's hand.
"We will, I promise," Jack said with a laugh, reaching down to pick up Aaron and swing him in the air. "But first I promised your Uncle Boone we'd go on a ride together, just the two of us." He gestured towards the Tunnel of Love.
"Eww, that's a mushy ride!" Aaron exclaimed, wrinkling his nose.
"Yeah, well, me and Uncle Boone, we're a little mushy," Jack replied, grinning as he interlaced Boone's fingers with his own, pulling him in close against his side.
"It happens when you find the one you love," Boone added, leaning his head against Jack's shoulder.
"Well I'm just going to love the Ferris Wheel, forever and ever," Aaron proudly declared.
"You do that, little man," Jack laughed, ruffling Aaron's hair. "I'll meet you for your second ride on it, ok?" Aaron nodded and raced off, meeting Claire at the ticket line. Jack and Boone walked hand in hand towards the Tunnel of Love, Jack stepping in the boat first, then reaching his hand out to help Boone in.
They settled in, Jack wrapping his arm around Boone's shoulders, Boone nestling against Jack's side. As the boat took off, Boone grinned. "Now where were we on mushy?" he asked, eyes twinkling as he kissed Jack.
