Smallville spin-off?

I haven't seen much discussion of this on LJ/DW. What do people think? Is it likely to actually happen? Would it be any good? My personal reaction is "NOOOOOOO!" I think it wouldn't be much good. I also think The CW will do it if they can, since one of their biggest cash cows is about to end. But, there's also the current copyright battle over this character, so that might make it less likely for them. We'll have to see; they are probably checking how reaction to the SV finale goes.
