The wildest of animals

Amidst the dew laden trees, refreshed from the late evening rain and the gentle musing of the night that followed, the wildest of animals suddenly marked his arrival.

The east coast was unprepared for it, approaching quietly confidently, he strode into a boisterous birthday celebration and made it his own.

Maude was here to party. Feasting on chicken wings and wine, chain smoking, he was irresistably charming. Camera flashes flickered and swirled as mad fireflies. Hushed whispers echoed.  But no one would say no to Maude, no one could.

Maude had not traveled over trackless oceans to be stopped by the awe he inspired or the jealousy he sparked.

Maude has  come, and his tales are but beginning
