I guess I kinda have a certain contempt for people's journal entries that start with "I've been busy lately..." but, right now I think that four-letter word pretty accurately describes my latest situation.
The plays I'm directing and acting in are opening very, very soon, so I had to ask for a break at the production company where I intern as a transcriber. Thank goodness the TV station I part-time at gives me shifts on a flexible, opt-in basis.
I don't think I really have much time for my leisure interests anymore, which include listening to podcasts, watching movies, playing video games, reading books and starting and finishing the first seasons of Lost, Extras, Entourage, Dead Like Me, The Wire, Desperate Housewives, Heartland, 30 Rock, Weeds, Jericho, amongst others. I buy/download/DVR these shows with the full intention of getting to them, but I've never really had the time.
I'm really open to new interests, too. If there's a film or something I haven't mentioned that you think is worth checking out, you can tell me. I'll probably thank you and make an honest effort to do so, which is likely my problem in the first place.
Oh, and I almost forgot - I'm in school right now. Sometimes they have classes and tests and papers there, and I have to try and find some time to do those, too.
