(no subject)
I'm at Beloit, visiting, and I've realized that while I do miss having this many friends so easily accessible, I don't miss college. I'll probably go to grad school someday, and I don't think I'll ever be able to go longer than a few months without signing myself up for some sort of class, but I like being independent, and having my own place, and my own fridge, and being able to leave the dishes in the sink for as long as I want, and walk naked from the shower to my bedroom.
Also, having visited a whole two times so far this academic year, I now qualify for the "what are YOU doing here again?" question. Which is a little depressing, but since the people asking it were significantly fewer than the people who were excited to see me, I still felt fairly welcome. Also, apparently no one knows I'm dating Winni, which I guess makes the surprise at my presence somewhat more reasonable. Though I must admit to some surprise of my own that this is news, as we're not exactly PDA-free, and according to all the Phi Psi's I've met he talks about me all the time. Its kind of like how even now I'll stick my tongue out at friends, and they'll say "Oh my god! When did you get your tongue pierced!" and I'll say "about a year before I met you..."
So. Just so everyone knows, I have a tongue piercing, and I'm dating Winni Kretzschmar. These things have been true for 3 and 1 years respectively. You can all stop being surprised now. :)
