Perfect Friday Night

The excitement that was my weekend kicked off at 7:30 in Heininger. I went with David Seguin to see the comedian, Dan Tosh, who was pretty funny. He, of course, touched on a lot of inappropriate things, but don't all comedians? He made some pretty clever jokes about google, anal sex, gays, and television. There was a really good turnout, and I'm going to see the comedian next week for sure after seeing this one. I kept getting calls and voicemail during the act. I was nervous, as Aimee and I had devised an iffy plan where she would pick Bobby after he got off work then drive them to NCC. Then he would sleepover in my room and she would in Melissa's. Of course, the voicemails changed that. Aimee's parents wouldn't let her drive late enough to pick up Bobby, plus she wasn't up for it.

I got back to my room soon after the comedian. Calaya and Rhea came with to help me set up. I hooked up the speakers and spruced up Nicholas's stuff. They left soon after to play Mafia in the lounge while I kept preparing. It was a pain to hang the sheets. I wanted to cover everything in the room except for the door and the bed to create more of a dancing environment. I manged to cover Nicholas's bed with my brown bedspread, the dresser with my white sheet, the corner with a maroon one, and my desk with Scott's black sheet. I stuck them up with duct tape, but it was really unstable. I had to struggle to put them back up a couple of times. The party started off really slow. Everyone I had wanted to come was at Mafia. For a little while, Bruce, Colleen, Melissa and I were dancing, but eventually we gave up. I just waited for Mafia to end to start the party. Finally at 11 ish I had to practically capture the people who were putting their coats on! After the trouble though, the party really started. We had a good 12, 15 people dancing. Scott, Doug, Shannon, Jacob's room mate, all joined in too. I danced with Nicole a lot of the time. We'd danced together at the Halloween Ball, so it was to do it again. Around 12:20 everyone left except for Melissa, Jacob, and Colleen. There was about a ten minute gap with no one around. Fortunately that's when some of the sheets decided to fall down. I put them back up, and then a whole new crowd of people came back. We had a good number at 12. Then Bobby finally showed up! I'd been calling him impatiently throughout the night seeing when he could make it.

Unfortunately, it was 12:40, so there was only twenty minutes left to dance. I didn't get to introduce him to anyone because of how late it was, but we got to dance together, so it didn't matter. A lot of people said that I should throw another dance party. Considering how much fun this one was, there's no doubt about it. After one, I cleaned up the room with help from Bobby. Then we spent the rest of the night (until four) talking and making out. I really didn't want him to leave, and he didn't want to either, but he had to work at ten, so we had to say our goodbyes.
