So, I woke up late at nine thirty on Saturday, ruining my early morning plans with Bobby. We'd planned to hang out before he went to work at 10:30. I wound up waiting around until twelve when Aimee was free to hang out. We were briefly at her house before going for a drive. We drove up to Wayne to check out the beautiful houses and the Dunham Castle. Afterward we went to the increasingly lame Charlestown mall. We still had fun, though. We window shopped at some stores and took pictures in an old fashioned photo booth with art nouveau on the side. She took me to Funway after the mall. I thought I was supposed to be there at 3 for the AFS thing, but I guess they had told me 3:30. So, I wandered around outside of the Funway and killed time until 3:30.
Mrs. Ziffer showed up at half past three, and we talked for a while until the rest of the AFSers arrived. It was nice to see Mrs. Lang again. I missed Meghan and Melissa Clegg (who had undergone foot surgery), but at least Brenna (who I can't decide if she's obnoxious or not) was at the party that night. I mostly talked to Aida while bowling. She's a really cool girl. I talked to Janus a good amount too. Gosh, he's a knockout. He's so handsome and stylish...it's rare to see someone that good looking...anyway, I bowled really well. I got a 115 without bumpers! So, I was really happy about that. I talked a little to Hisako, a peppy girl from Japan during the two games. At six, we all wrapped things up. I helped total the scores with Mrs. Lang, Clegg, and Burdick, then went up to the arcade where the exchange students were. I didn't have any tokens, so I walked around and talked to Aidia and Janus a bit.
I was driven to the party at Mrs. Scales' house by an AFS volunteer who I hadn't met before. She said she'd been around for a few years, though. I sat next to a cool Brazilian girl in the back (her name escapes me). We talked about Brazil and my friend Renata (whom I miss). I was worried that things would be kind of awkward at the party as I'm not a highschooler anymore, and all the exchange students are. Plus, Meghan and Melissa wouldn't be there. Things went well, though. I didn't feel out of place with the students. The party was a blast. I got to talk in Japanese a bit with Taka and Hisako, ate some really good lasagna, tried to balance on the boogie board, and talked a good deal with Aida and Janus. i realised throughout the night that Janus really is full of himself and kind of pain...but he's still really handsome. Towards the end of the party I called Mike, Bobby, etc. on Brenna's cell phone to see what was up. Mrs. Lang drove me home, along with Taka, Wow (a Thai girl), Ace, Mrs. Lang's Austrian host son (who is kind of a pain), and others.
It was around ten fifteen was the time when I got home. I called Bobby and finally got a hold of him. He was free, so he said he'd come over after getting ready. I watched SNL while I waited, as Jake Gylenhaal was on it. Bobby came over at eleven, and we watched SNL together. The episode was alright, but could've been better. I think I went into it expecting too much, or maybe I was just not caring as much since Bobby was there. After SNL was when I really started having fun, anyway. Bobby and I made out for probably...an hour and a half or so. It was surprising in retrospect that it lasted that long, but it was that amazing. We watched some A to Z and figured out why Bobby would get home at 2 if he "were watching a movie at a friend's house" that started at eleven, but we figured his mom wouldn't be up when he got home anyway.
So, between going for a drive with Aimee, the AFS party, and hanging out with Bobby it was a pretty amazing day!
