Classic Party

Today was alright. I really didn't do much until the night. Classes were uneventful. Japanese was review for the most part. I ate lunch with the 3rd floor kids and worked on my drawing project for 50 mins. in my dorm room. I called Ian, my mom, Merika, and Aimee at one point because I was desperate for Friday night plans. Though nothing came out of my phone calls, it was good to talk to my friends. It's only been five days, but I miss them!

At five something I went over to Calaya's room to watch America's Next Top Model (a predictable show) and eat pizza with Tia, Ashley, Calaya, and some of their friends. I love Calaya's room's. It's very cozy and eclectic. At seven something I got back to my dorm and set it up for the party...which took no time at all because all it involved was me pulling out my big pillow. After some waiting around and finding people, I wound up in my room with Caroline, Melissa, Adrian, and Matt playing Scategories. Adrian won, but it was a lot of fun in the process. I swear, people try to get by with some pretty lame answers. Caroline had "Janitorial Studies" as a school subject for J! And I'm not even going to start on Jelly Ice cream...

We finished and planned on watching Donny Darko. Calaya, Ria, and Scott showed up, just as Matt, Caroline, and Adrian left. We decided to go down to Scott's room (with giant pillow in tow) to watch it. It was much cozier there. Alex watched with us for a while, but fell asleep. We'd all seen it before save for Ria, who liked it. Though I've seen it five times now I still felt at the end like the five of us in that little room really shared in an experience together. When "Mad World" came on I felt closer to the people around me because we were feeling the same emotion.

in other news, I have to wake up early tomorrow to do a formal clothing photo shoot in downtown Naperville with Calaya for Scott. I guess we're going to play a couple but will have duct tape over our mouths with different kinds of expressions drawn on them. I don't know what the project's for, but it sounds really interesting.

Oh, and I've decided to end this whole "friends only" business. I like the idea of someone being able to just stumble across my blog and check out my life. If something's more personal, I'll make it "friends only" but besides that, read on world.
