Thursday
Even if he had been a bit hesitant at first, Kyuhyun thought his friends' plans were working well so far. He had got the chance to engage in a conversation with Sungmin twice already. He was even partially convinced this whole thing would turn out to be a success; come on, who could resist Kyuhyun and his charms?

Kyuhyun had been casually walking to the rooftop to meet up with Eunhyuk and the others for lunch time, when he heard a familiar voice chant his name, desperately. He turned around to the sight of a panting and jubilant Henry.

"Kyuhyun! Just the person I was hoping to run into," Henry said, too happily for Kyuhyun's liking.

Kyuhyun merely stared at him dully, knowing there was some sort of favour to follow.

"Kyuhyun, could you place this violin bow on the first shelf to your right in the music room, please?" He asked in the most persuading way possible. He extended the bow towards the other boy, with a large grin plastered on his face.

"Why?" He asked, not taking the fiddlestick from Henry. "The music room is right there. Why do you want me to do it? You have arms and legs. You can do it yourself," he said, gesturing towards Henry's limbs. It was true, the pair were standing literally a few inches away from the said room.

Henry's eyes shifted around his surroundings swiftly and nervously, as he racked his brains for an excuse. "Uhhh.. I just want you to do it. Thanks, man!" Before the older had the chance to utter another word, Henry had already shoved the bow in his hands and scurried away like an annoying, little rat.

Emitting a deep sigh, Kyuhyun brought himself to the music room, and as soon as he caught a glimpse of a head of beautiful black hair, he winced and scurried back out. He should have seen that coming! Why else would Henry ask him to put the violin bow back in the music room when he was already standing so near to it? Duhhh, because Lee Sungmin was in there.

Kyuhyun wondered how his friends always managed to know Sungmin's exact location within the school grounds. Were they stalking him? Had they slipped some sort of crazy tracking device in Sungmin's pocket while he wasn't looking? These questions were left unanswered. It did sound like something his friends would do though - they were a deranged bunch.

Since he had been sent on this task for a reason, he figured he might as well do it to avoid any further scolding from his friends. So he walked in, no matter how nervous he was, or how awkward or 'stalkery' he felt. He tip-toed into the room, his eyes on Sungmin who was sitting by the piano, flicking through the filled pages of a manuscript. Luckily, Sungmin still hadn't noticed his presence. Kyuhyun reached up to place the bow on the top shelf.

Yeah, the bow fell to the floor. It just had to, didn't it?

Sungmin's head snapped to the source of the disruption, and Kyuhyun looked at him, feeling embarrassed and awkward. The way he invariably felt whenever he was near the gorgeous boy, but as he watched Sungmin's face brighten the negative emotions were almost pushed aside.

"Kyuhyun! Nice seeing you here.. what are you doing here?" Sungmin asked, good-naturedly.

Kyuhyun babbled like a fool as he crouched down to pick up the troublesome piece of instrument. "Eh, w-well... I, um," he spluttered, his hands fidgeting with the violin bow out of nervousness. How could he have suddenly forgotten the reason he was there? Well, he usually seemed to forget everything whenever he noticed Sungmin's presence. Sungmin stared at him questioningly as enigmatic babbles fell from the others mouth. "My friend... er... Henry. He, em, wanted me to put this... back for him, er... yeah." He showed Sungmin the violin bow.

Sungmin continued staring for a bit before he broke out into a warm smile. "Aaah, I see!"

A bit of an awkward silence lingered in the air as they merely stared at each other, but Sungmin was smiling with ease. Kyuhyun looked slightly constipated.

"I.. better go n-"

"Do you play any instruments, Kyuhyun?" Sungmin hastily intruded.

Kyuhyun began staring off into space as he thought. "Well, I can play a bit of the piano... but I'm not that great."

"Show me what you got," Sungmin insisted, scooting over on the piano bench to make room for Kyuhyun.

"Must I really?" Kyuhyun asked, a bit hesitantly.

Sungmin let out a laugh. "Go ahead! I really want to hear." He patted the vacant space beside him, and Kyuhyun reluctantly sat himself down, not before finally setting the violin bow on the top shelf. He had to remember to stop himself from freaking out. He was sitting very close beside Lee Sungmin... thighs almost touching.

With his heart struggling to thump out of his chest, his slender fingers began to tap at the porcelain piano keys, producing the wonderful melody of 'Viva La Vida.' Hah, lucky he had memorized the notes of the song because his grandmother had once requested for him to play it for her as a birthday present. Kyuhyun had rudely commented saying that was an extremely lame birthday present. Maybe Kyuhyun thought it wasn't so lame anymore...

As he made progress in the song, he grew more comfortable with pressing away at the keys, and less bothered and nervous by Sungmin's constant gaze on him. After about a minute, he stopped and rested his hands on his lap.

Sungmin frowned at this action. "Why'd you stop?" He asked, and it was hard not to notice the disappointment in his tone.

"I got bored," Kyuhyun shrugged. "It wasn't good anyway.."

Sungmin snickered. "Kyuhyun, you are so modest," he said, while shaking his head.

Really? Because Kyuhyun's friends often told him the complete opposite. This showed Kyuhyun was nearly a completely different person whenever he was around Sungmin. He was almost... nice, and humble. Oh and not to mention, a nervous wreck.

"You're really good at playing the piano. Oh, and by the way, I love that song!" Sungmin said, grinning.

"Do you play any instruments?" Kyuhyun asked.

Sungmin nodded. "I can only play the piano, guitar, drums and bass guitar. I'm also learning how to play the violin," he said, smiling shyly. Kyuhyun blinked. It was official, Sungmin was phenomenal. "I also compose songs." Kyuhyun's jaw fell to floor. He liked how musical Sungmin was, even though he wasn't much of a musician himself. His voice could hold a note or two and fiddle around with the piano and that was about it.

Over the next long minutes of lunch, Kyuhyun and Sungmin spent their time sitting in the music room simply getting to know each other and mess about on the instruments lying abandoned in the music room. Yes, abondeded. Their school wasn't big on music and instruments at all... their school was more sports-based.

Kyuhyun's phone vibrated in his blazer's pocket, indicating he had received a text message.

From: Annoying Anchovy!
To: Game Kyu
Hey. We all know you're with 'him'.
So get his number now ;)

He let out an inward sigh, and Sungmin smiled at him in concern. "Something wrong?" He asked, looking up from the guitar in his hands.

"No, no. I'm fine," Kyuhyun replied, sliding his phone back into his pocket lazily.

The bell rang.

Kyuhyun cleared his throat, softly. "Emm.. I guess we better get to class?"

Sungmin nodded. "Yep!" He set the guitar back in it's original place.

"But before I go, ccould I get your number? It was.. fun talking to you," he said, feeling a bit odd because that wasn't something he'd usually say.

Sungmin flashed him an eager smile and nodded in return. Kyuhyun grinned back and retrieved his phone before handing it over to Sungmin so he could key his number in and save it.

"Yeah..." Sungmin said, a slight laugh present in his speech. "It was fun, wasn't it?" He agreed, with hints of pink evident on his cheeks. Kyuhyun's eyes widened a bit.. Sungmin wasn't blushing, was he? No, he couldn't be. He wasn't blushing.

"It was nice hanging out with someone different for a change.. someone nice and understanding.. and not snooty," Sungmin continued. He had finished putting in his number and saved it as 'Sungminnie.' He smiled sadly as he handed Kyuhyun his phone back.

Kyuhyun quirked an eyebrow at the emotion behind the smile as he took his phone from, gently. "Thanks," he said, slipping it back into his pocket once again. "You mean.. your friends are arrogant? Snobby?" He asked. Pfftt, like he didn't know! The only people that didn't know about Sungmin's friends' behaviour were any new kids... no, actually, even they knew. Even people in other schools knew.

Everyone was aware of their conceitedness and excessive pride. They were true narcissists. Sungmin and Leeteuk were exceptions, though. Probably Zhoumi as well... he was just a fashionista. A very proud one, just to add, and he often criticized other people's fashion senses and choice of clothing. On rare occasions, the criticism was constructive. Usually, it was just plain nasty. If you dressed nicely and had sexy hair, he was pretty friendly with you. Sungmin's friends weren't bullies, but they weren't so polite either.

Sungmin nodded slowly. "Yes... and controlling," he said, trying out a weak smile. Kyuhyun began to feel sympathetic... Sungmin's life didn't seem to be all that great. Well... he didn't seem to have true friends and he had just broken up with his boyfriend of seven months and six days not too long ago. Maybe the rest of his life was fabulous. Probably was.

"Here," he said, suddenly handing Kyuhyun his own pink phone. "Of course I'd want your number too," he said, smiling genuinely this time.

Kyuhyun's heart jumped but of course he didn't show it, and only smiled casually as if Sungmin asking for his number was no big deal. He took the phone from Sungmin and keyed in his number before saving it with his name and handing it back.

"Thanks!" Sungmin said, taking it from him. He let his eyes wander over the saved number and frowned to himself, a little displeased. He tapped the 'edit' button and proceeded in adding an 'nie' to the end of Kyuhyun's name. He smiled to himself in satisfaction. "Better.." He said to himself, but not loud enough for Kyuhyun to hear. As he was about to switch his phone off, his eyes caught sight of the current time and he gasped horrifically. "Crap! We're like... ten minutes late for class!"

As soon as these words had left Sungmin's mouth, both students shot up out of their seated positions abruptly and scurried out the room.

"I'm this way," Kyuhyun said, hurriedly, pointing to the direction of his next class as soon as they were standing outside the music room.

"I'm that way!" Sungmin said, pointing in the opposite direction. "Alright, well..."

"Bye," they squeaked in unison, nervous because they were both extremely late. Sungmin had never been a tardy person, and Kyuhyun thought it was best to avoid being scolded by teachers. They ran their separate ways smiling to themselves because of the events during lunch time.

Sungmin ran his fastest to his classroom, slowing his pace down a bit as he neared it. Inhaling and exhaling deeply to calm his nerves, he warily pulled the door open. To his relief, he was presented with the sight of male students sitting on desks (teacher's desk included), students sitting on top of each other as they made out and students listening to their i-pods while blabbing with friends - male students doing everything non-academic.

They were smart enough to keep decently quiet since if the volume was extremely high, any teacher could enter and tell them to hush up and assign them random work. Sungmin could only let out a big sigh of relief at his luck.

His eyes scanned the chaotic classroom, and within seconds he spotted Heechul at the back of the classroom.. with aother guy sucking his face as they were in a tight embrace. Sungmin rolled his eyes. Typical.

He walked further into the classroom and chose the first vacant seat he saw to sit in. He fell back into the chair and whipped out his i-pod since he wasn't quite in the mood to mess about with the rest of his classmates. Just as he was about to push the earbuds in his ears, he felt a harsh tap on his shoulder. Raising an eyebrow, he turned around to be met by a vexed and outraged Heechul, with his hands on his hips.

"Where the fuck were you during lunch time, and explain to me why you're so late," he demanded. "We were playing the 'grab a guy and make out' game. You missed it!" He barked.

Sungmin rolled his eyes up to the ceiling as he turned in his seat to face the older properly. "Like I wanted to make out with any of these monsters.." he retorted, smartly avoiding Heechul's question. Although he never bragged about it, he was aware of the amount of guys that liked him in the school. If he were to begin a make-out session with any of them, it'd definitely turn into something a lot more. Something highly inappropriate for school, and the last thing he wanted was to get caught by a teacher and possibly get suspended... or even expelled. Oh, the horror!

"Stop being an idiot," snapped Heechul, smirking for whatever reason. "Where were you?"

Sungmin turned his back on Heechul. "Why are you so concerned?" He asked gloomily, and before he could hear the next nonsensical remark to escape Heechul's mouth, he put his earphones in his ears and turned up the music on his i-pod to high volume. Irritated, Heechul walked around to the front of Sungmin's table.

Sungmin looked up at him, and his mouth was still moving so he was obviously still babbling on about the issue, but Sungmin had no clue what he was saying. He stared up at Heechul, his expression completely blank and he knew it was getting to his friend. He mouthed the words 'Sorry, I can't hear you' to him, and began singing along to the song playing on the musical device.

Heechul just wouldn't give up.. that was until he was pushed back to fall supine across Sungmin's table. Heechul must have squealed in delight like a whore at this sudden action. Even though Sungmin didn't have the ability to hear anything except for the music blasting out of his earphones, Sungmin was sure he had. The classmate he had been kissing earlier on crawled over him and instantly shoved his tongue in Heechul's open mouth.

Sungmin grimaced. "What the heck, get the fuck off my table!" He shrieked, as he stood up and shoved them both off his desk using all his strength. Shockingly, the two's mouths still remained connected as they fell to the floor.

The black-haired boy huffed out of pure frustration and annoyance before taking out his phone and switching it back on. Using his thumb, he slid down his amazingly long phonebook list before reaching a particular name and stopping at it. He smiled widely to himself as he fingered the name 'Kyuhyunnie' softly. He decided to text him, and he hoped Kyuhyun had remembered to put his phone on vibrate mode or else he would get into deep trouble if it beeped aloud during class.

Yes, you guessed right. Kyuhyun had got scolded by the teacher for being unpunctual. After he had thoroughly apologized to his teacher, he made his way towards his desk and sat in his usual seat beside Ryeowook, who grinned at him knowingly.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes at him and casually looked around the classroom. As he did this, he spotted Eunhyuk in the back row, who immediately winked at him. Beside him, was Henry, who also gave him a wide, knowing smile.

Kyuhyun scowled at them and turned around in his seat, facing the board again. He felt like strangling them. Why did his friends have to be such annoying idiots? ...even if they were helpful and caring.

He felt a sudden vibration in his blazer pocket and immediately took out his phone. He opened up his newly received text message, making sure to keep the device under his table so it was out of the teacher's view.

From: Sungminnie
To: Kyuhyunnie
grab a guy and make out..
have you ever played it? xD

Kyuhyun raised an eyebrow at the unexpected question, but smiled afterwards as he replied back. Of course he had heard of the game.. it was a silly game a few students in the school had thought up of one boring day. Students usually played it when their teacher for a class was absent and they had no-one to supervise them. Or even in the school's back garden, rooftop or anywhere on campus where teachers and staff weren't lurking around.

Someone would obnoxiously announce 'Hey people! Grab a guy and just make out!' and if you were interested in playing, you would grab a dude and kiss him. If that guy was also interested, he'd respond well and kiss back- if not, he'd punch, shove or slap you. If you heard this announcement and didn't feel the need to participate you would just... run. Kyuhyun was one of the athletes.

Ryeowook observed as Kyuhyun texted an unknown person while smiling like a love-sick idiot. "Who are you texting? Sungmin?" He whispered, nudging Kyuhyun in the side.

"No. Now face the front like a good kid and learn," Kyuhyun commanded in a hushed tone, not even lifting his eyes from the phone.

Ryeowook squealed to himself, silently. "You are texting Sungmin.." He squealed quietly again, before clapping to himself softly. The teacher noticed this and glared at Ryeowook.

"Kim Ryeowook!" He yelled, and said boy jumped. Kyuhyun hurriedly shoved his phone back into his pocket so the teacher wouldn't notice he might have been texting. "No clapping in class.. stop it immediately!"

"Sorry, sir.." He apologized, sinking down in his chair in embarrassment. He wore a pout on his face for the next few minutes, and Kyuhyun flashed him a devilish 'serves-you-right' smile.

-

As soon as his phone beeped, Sungmin picked it and opened the text message, excitedly.

From: Kyuhyunnie
To: Sungminnie
No, i hvnt. y do u ask??

He giggled to himself before tapping away at buttons on the screen of his phone. He set it on the table again and leaned back in his chair, impatiently awaiting Kyuhyun's reply.

-

Kyuhyun's phone vibrated in his pocket for the umpteenth time that day, but this time he was delighted, since the sender was Lee Sungmin, and not Lee Hyukjae or Lee Donghae. He opened up the text message.

From: Sungminnie
To: Kyuhyunnie
Welllll ... our teacher is absent &
a bunch of guys are playing it right now.
Think I should give it a go? ;D
I'm just sitting here listening to my i-pod...

Kyuhyun's eyes widened. The thought of Sungmin kissing another guy sickened him. He replied, his facial expression completely serious.

-

Sungmin opened up the text.

From: Kyuhyunnie
No no no no! dont.
Do u wanna risk gting explld or sspnd?
The kiss mght turn into sumtin more...

Sungmin laughed; Kyuhyun was really cute sometimes. He replied.

-

Kyuhyun opened up the new text.

From: Sungminnie
Ok, ok! I won't. XD
Now stop texting me &
pay attention in class ;)

Kyuhyun merely frowned, since he was really enjoying texting Sungmin.

School had ended and Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun were walking to the café to grab a bite before they began heading home.

"Where's Donghae?" Kyuhyun asked, feeling suspicious.

Eunhyuk shrugged. "He said he couldn't come because he had something important to do... I can't remember what it was. I wasn't even listening," he admitted, sheepishly.

Kyuhyun tutted at his best friend. "Wow, what a fantastic boyfriend you are!" He exclaimed, sarcastically.

"Shut it," retorted Eunhyuk. "I'm probably a better boyfriend to Donghae than you'll to be Sungmin by next Saturday. Hmmmph!" He snapped, folding his arms, stubbornly.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes. "How are you and Donghae sooooo sure that me and Sungmin will get together by next Saturday?"

"Kyuhyun, don't question us and our abilities, okay?!" He went berserk, and Kyuhyun just stared. "We just know and if you really wanted Sungmin, you'd accept that, not question it and obey our rules!"

Kyuhyun mimed his words in a mocking manner.

"So, how was it staying with him in the music room for a whole hour? Hmmm?" Eunhyuk asked, excitedly.

Kyuhyun thought for a bit. "I was hungry."

"Huh?" Eunhyuk turned to throw him a weird look. "You were hungry? You didn't eat? Why? Ahhhh, I know why. It's probably because you're so in love with him, and you were so stunned by his beauty and amazing personality that you didn't feel the need to eat anymore because just staring at that face was enough for you to live! Like... you could live on just staring at his face," he concluded.

"You, my friend, are a genius," lied Kyuhyun, patting his friend on the back twice.

Eunhyuk flashed him a gummy smile. "I know."

"No, seriously, you've been hanging out with Donghae way too much. That sounds like something he would say."

"Well what do you expect?!" Eunhyuk snapped. "He's my boyfriend! Don't worry, soon you'll have a few of Sungmin's traits... when you two get together... next Saturday." He smiled.

Kyuhyun frowned. "How can you-"

"Ah, ah, ah! Do not question," Eunhyuk said sternly, while sticking his forefinger up.

"Right. Sorry, I forgot," Kyuhyun said, mockingly.
