Chapter 7:
Reporters where already trying to get Jun and Mao’s side when Jun suddenly proposed. Of course they weren’t able to finish the show and the staff immediately took them back to their dressing room.
At the dressing room Jun received a nice slap on the face courtesy of Akiko herself. That’s what you deserve she said obviously that she’s angry at him.
Ken really tried to control his anger. He’s definitely finished he thought.
The two managers went out, both received a call from their big bosses and that leaves them alone inside the room.
Ever since they left the studio Jun was already holding her hand.
“What’s your answer?” he whispers but enough for her to hear.
She bends her head down “You tell me”
“You’ll marry me” he said.
“Do you want me to? Or you’re just trying to pity me?”
“I’ll marry you because I do want to be with you” he honestly said.
Mao didn’t answer.
“If you want me to beg I’ll do that. Just say yes”
Mao sarcastically laughs at him “It sounds like I’m the one who’s not willing at all”
“You’re not sure about what you did. You’re just confused” she said.
“If you’re not pregnant at all I’ve already strangled you” he was getting angry already. What else does she want from him? He’s already here giving himself and still she wont accept it.
“Now you’re going to kill me?” she shouted.
“Are all pregnant women this annoying?” he incredulously said, shouting back at Mao.
“And now you’re raising your voice at me?”
“Argh! Mao you’re crazy! Can we just talk calmly and not shout at each other!”
“I’ve been through emotional turmoil so don’t expect me to be calm at all”
This talk is getting nowhere he thought. “I don’t know but you’re getting on my nerves already” he said enough for her to hear.
“You think that you have the right to say that to me? Hey mister, do you expect me to take your proposal just like that? I’ve been reckless enough to get involved with you. One wrong move and it’ll be the end of me”
Jun walks over to her and held her in his arms “I know it’s been hard for you…”
Mao covers her eyes with her hands “I don’t want to cry anymore”
“You won’t. I’ll not let that happen. You will not be alone on this one. Marry me.” He said again. “This is an order. You’ll marry me even if you don’t want to”
Mao removes her hand from her eyes “You’re being demanding”
“I just want to have what’s mine”
“No regrets?”
Jun starts to caress her hand “Would I do something as bold as that if I’m just playing”
Mao raised her left hand “You proposed but you didn’t even prepared for a ring?”
Jun chuckles “I’ll give you one don’t worry”
“I’m serious here” she said. Jun looks at her and saw that she wasn’t laughing.
“Ok ok…”Jun took off his ring and slides in on her finger “That will do for now. So this is a Yes then?” he looks at her.
“No” Mao coldly answers.
“You have my ring; I proposed already what else do you want?”
“Getting impatient, aren’t we?” she said “Do you honestly think that I’ll immediately jump to your arms and say yes? For your information I waited for two weeks and two months! That was long enough for you to think!”
Jun irately scratches his head “So you won’t marry me?”
“I want a commitment”
“I am giving myself to you. Aren’t I clear with that?” he said.
“No regrets”
“No, just tell me you’ll be with me”
“When do you plan to get married?”
A smile slowly forms on his lips “As soon as possible.”

“You’re really going to marry her?” Ken asks.
“Yes”
“I hope you’re doing the right thing” he disappointedly said.
“It isn’t bad getting married, you know”
“For you, IT IS BAD!”
“You worry too much, you need to relax, Ken”
Ken shifted his gaze and glares at him “Relax? Tell that to the marines! How am I supposed to do that when you’re about to officially announce that you’re getting married? You know that it’ll cause havoc! Just think about your fans!”
“They’ll understand”
“You could still say no if you want”
“I don’t want to go through this again, Ken. We’re talking about my child here”
“If you only talked this over with Mao and you didn’t proposed to her things would have gone smoothly” says Ken,
Jun was already starting to get irritated with him “I’ll marry her and that’s final” sometimes he would just like to hit him really hard. “We’ve talked about this and the management also accepted it”
“Of course they’ll say yes because you’ve already gotten her pregnant. It will cause much more trouble if you suddenly denied it when you just asked her to marry you on live television”
“This is really annoying” Jun mutters as he cross his arms.
Ken walks over to the door “You guys are such a pain in the ass” he said before he left the room.
The press conference was jam packed. Reporters threw Jun questions left and right. Even if he’s really not into this kind of situation, being on the spot and talking about his privately he just sat there and answers all of the questions calmly.
“So when are you planning to get married?” one of the reporters asks.
Jun holds the microphone firmly “We haven’t talked about that yet but it’ll be soon”
“How soon? Or are you going to wait till she gives birth?”
“We’ll get married before the baby’s born” he calmly said.
“How did the other members react when they found out about you getting married?”
“They were fine with it. I have their full support.”
And another question was thrown at him “Is Inoue Mao living with you already?”
“No. She’s staying with her family as of the moment”
Another reporter stands up “I heard that you were really not planning to acknowledge the baby that Mao’s carrying because you’re afraid that you might lose your job”
Jun lifted his brow “Would I be here if I’m not willing to do that”
The press conference lasted about an hour. Jun was already in the verge of walking out when they asked him questions that were really out of topic already. But in the end he just told them that he’s willing to take the responsibility of being a father and hopes that nothing will change.
Chapter 8:
She was tracing lazy circles on his chest, just looking at him. Actually she’s already getting bored. Ever since he came to her house he immediately collapses on her bed and slept. She wanted to talk but he was just too tired to do that.
“Jun” she starts to call his name when she can’t stand it anymore. But he didn’t even move so she starts to shake him “Jun”
“Five more minutes. Just give me five more minutes” he sleepily said.
“You’ve been saying for the past thirty minutes already” Mao frowns at him.
“Just five more minutes I promise” his eyes where still close as he said this.
Mao then lays her head on his chest “Do I really have to leave?”
Jun slowly opens his eyes “You don’t want to?”
She looks at him then smiles “Not really”
Jun starts to caress her cheek with his left hand “They won’t hurt you there”
“They won’t hurt me here either” she stubbornly told him while pinching his nose
After that incident four days ago when someone tried to attack her when she was about to enter her parents house after her visit to the doctor, Jun persuaded her parents to let her leave with him. Of course her parents where totally against it saying that it’ll not be appropriate but Jun had his way and they finally gave in.
Jun took her arm and showed her the scar that was left after she was attacked. “They won’t huh?”
She snatches her arm back “It’s only a scratch. It’ really nothing”
“Nothing? You were crying hysterically that even your mom can’t make you stop”
“It’s really nothing you know and besides they’ll not do that again”
“We’re not going to take chances anymore and your parents agreed to it already.
Mao gets off the bed and straightens her clothes “I really can’t believe that they said yes” after fixing herself she took Jun’s hand and starts to pull him up.
“Thanks to Nino” Jun grins at her.
Knowing that Mao’s mother was a die-hard Ninomiya fan he actually asked his friend to come along with him when he decided to talk with her parents. Thanks to Nino’s charms her parents agreed to let Mao live with her.
“I’ll get Nino for this”
Jun glances at his watch and saw that it was already quarter to three “Where are your luggages? We need to head back to my place because I still need to go back to the studio”
“Studio? You’ll leave me alone?”
He lightly pats her head “I’ll be back as soon as possible. We just need to talk about something”
Mao swats his hand off her “Then I’ll go with you tomorrow. Come pick me up after your work”
“No! You’ll stay there tonight.”
“I don’t want to sleep there all by myself. I’d rather stay here at least I have my mom here. Let’s just see if my brother will approve of this”
“Mao…”
“Come pick me up tomorrow morning”
“Okay, I’ll take you with me back to the studio” Jun said as he scratches his head, he will definitely have a talk with Ken…again. Mao’s not his favorite person right now.
“Is Aiba there?” Mao’s eyes starts to twinkle when she heard Jun.
“You’re getting fond of him, aren’t you?” he had this suspicious look.
Mao doesn’t mind him staring at her “Does he like cakes? Mom made one and I’m planning to give some to him”
“Mao” Jun pinches her cheeks “Seriously, not Aiba”
“What’s wrong with him? He’s nice, cute and very funny”
“I’m begging you, choose another. I don’t want my baby to be like him”
Mao frowns at him then removes his hand “I like him” then stomps her feet as she goes out of the room.
“Why don’t you just like me instead? He’s a baka” he shouted.
“I don’t have control of it you know!” Mao shouts back while Jun follows her behind

“She’s okay, been sleeping the whole time” Jun answers when Nino asks him how Mao was doing. They just finished filming and now heading back to their vehicles, ready to go home. “Maybe she’s tired or something. When I get home if I don’t’ find her eating she’ll just be sleeping”
“Cause she’s pregnant” Nino said “But It’s good to hear that. She was not looking good when we saw her back then”
“Yeah, she has gained weight now. Thank God she’s already ok”
“By the way when’s the wedding? My mom’s been asking me that, she’s excited about it”
Jun chuckles “We’ve been discussing it with her and my family. We’ll have the formal wedding after she gives birth. Mao wanted to have a simple one first so that we’ll not have problems with the baby’s papers. I don’t’ have time to plan it anymore so I asked my sister to do it for me. Don’t worry I’ll invite your mom”
“Thanks”
“I heard from Aiba that he’s been receiving messages from your soon-to-be wife. Don’t’ tell me….”
“Sad to say, he’s the chosen one” says Jun. “He really loves that guy and she even buys magazines and guess what? She’ll just cut out his pictures”
“Weird” Nino can’t help but laugh and then he suddenly turns serious all of a sudden “Are you getting used to it?”
“Used to what?”
“Your life now?”
“Oh, it’s really new for me of course but…I really can’t explain it. But all I can say is that I’m happy. We can just go out now, not worrying about other people and with the baby on the way”
“I’m happy for you too” Nino his shoulder “Don’t you make her cry again, okay”

He was sending her messages and even tried calling her for the past two hours already and still she won’t answer. “Why wont you answer?” he curses .His schedule was very hectic that day that he had forgotten about the check-up. Mao already told her last night about their meeting with her doctor today, it was supposed to be ten that morning but it was already quarter to one in the afternoon.
When he got home he saw her sitting on the sofa munching on some strawberry ice cream. He sighs in relief when he saw her there. He walks over and sits beside her.
“I’m sorry “Jun said when Mao didn’t even look at him.
Mao looks at him for a second and then back to the television.
“They won’t let me leave…”
“Excuses…excuses….” Mao cuts him. “Want some?” she held a spoon full of ice cream near his mouth. Jun smiles then took it.
“Not mad anymore?” he asks her.
Mao starts wiping his lips with her thumb “I was mad earlier. How could you forget that? You’re not that old aren’t you?”
“The pictorial took forever…”
“Don’t worry I’m not mad anymore. How can I possible get mad when I saw this” then she shows the sonogram. “First picture, huh?” she said proudly.
“I can’t believe I missed this one” he said feeling down.
“There’ll be another one” Mao said, she was really mad earlier but she thought that if she wants to be with him she has to bear everything. She needs to get used to it. She’s been in the same field and she knows that it’s not very easy.
“Look closely” She pointed.
“What’s this? Don’t tell me…” He looks at her then saw her smiling at him.
“We’re having twins!” she beams then hugs him.
