TO THE GALAXY - Hey! Say! JUMP
I'm going to start this post just like Tama-chan's j-entry, but adapted to my weather: 'It's hot, hot, hot'. So, the summer is finally here and it's killing me! it's so hot ~
Okay, today it's one of the songs in my pending list, and this was actually requested by ursuotaku, thanks for even trusting in my lack of skills, haha. So, there's a reason why I liked this song so much, but I'll write about that later on, let's first start with the lyrics, it has a bunch of English words in there, so it was pretty hard to blend! The lyricist of this song is the same of songs such as One ＆ One Makes Two (same album and I love this song too! I think it's also in my pending list), Love Hurricane which is a coupling song. The composer has worked with many artists including Arashi with TWO TO TANGO. I like the melody, it's catchy and the length is good too. I got the kanji from here and today I'd like to do some member coloring, but there are different opinions out there, so I'll do a mixture combining my hearing, since I won't be going to their concerts, do they even perform this? They should... either way, I'll be mainly following here, here and here. I'll be adding some small phrases that aren't on the official lyrics between brackets the square ones []. [T/N]:Okay, I'll add the notes before the romaji with the adding parts and the colorings simply because that'll take me forever and I want to finish with the notes before I forget it all. First, this is a pretty catchy song from out of space ... but! what I like the most is Yabu's parts, I love his falsettos, his part is so beautiful! I love it since the first listening, actually I'm curious about the first one, which is probably Inoo and Dai-chan, who is the one doing it, Dai-chan? his register is usually quite low... it can't be Inoo or can it? I also like Chinen's voice here, I like his voice for these types of songs, also Yamada and his super mellow voice that when it's mixed with Takaki's is a delight! Lastly, so much English parts and so nothing of Keito's voice ~
On actual translation notes, this songs makes me recall others from them that I translated and I don't remember the name, lol, sorry, with the same topic, a party or a dancing night.
- I like the image of him finding the other person and taking them to this galaxy party. That's how the song starts (stanzas 1&2), oh and in the second verse/stanza, I like the imagery a lot, oh, and the last word in English 'spacey', I understood it as spaced out/eccentric, and it's referring to the smile.
- The next stanza (3) got me thinking... due to the lack of pronouns, so I like the image of him approaching this cold smile and trying to take it to dance and the stepping is pounding with the beat of his heart.
- Next stanza (4), the 'Break out', I changed it a little since I think this refers to the party as in 'happen, emerge'.
- Next stanza (5), with the 'stage' part in English, this verb means 'to color, to paint' and it made me recall the usual expression they have of 'painting your dreams', as in the 'dreaming' English word, so it is referring to that color of their dreams.
- Next stanza (6) is my favorite vocally, so beautiful! There are two notes here, first, the literal translation would be something like a 'guided/predicted future', but I wanted to put more emphasis on this future as being the result of their dreams opposed to something imposed as it was sort of implied by those words in English, so it ended as 'anticipated'. And the last part! it was so hard for me, I don't know why ... it was something like 'filling all the gaps' so it ended in 'completely filled'.
- Next, (7) was so much hard! this is my best try, and I'm sorry for any mistakes, but Yamada's voice here is really delightful. I like seeing this stanza as a connection to the real world as opposed to this dreamy one, even in this real world, the other one has some influence.
And that's it, I sort of like the end result, I feel it's cohesive and I like to think that at the beginning he's comparing the other person/her to a shiny star, do you see it like that? Either way~ That's it! Wish me luck with the colors. Done it, but still doubting in some parts ~

But first, I'll be telling you about this album, I think I haven't mentioned it before, except for the solos, but I haven't had enough time to comment on nothing but a few notes there. So, taking the solos out of the picture, there aren't many songs on the album I'm crazy about, my favorite are this, FLASH, ONE & ONE MAKES TWO (because I first listened to this in Rajira and I loved it, actually I started to work on the lyrics just there, I'll talk about that if I translate that song) and that's it. Jealous guy and City wander are also good. I kind of like BANGER NIGHT, but I hated their formation, maybe because they're even now... maybe it's just my thing...
It took me forever the colored hearts! ~ well, I don't have time to keep on rambling here... and I'll probably be late tomorrow... hopefully not
Oh, and happy B-day to all of JUMP having their b.days, lol, it was funny and a bit sad what they did to Hika~ He commented it a little bit in Rajira. This week's was really fun, I missed listening to InooHika <3
