Nannen Tatte mo - Kinki kids - 20th anniversary
Hi! So, my tomorrow is today in Japan so this post will take that into account and this is part of my little effort to in a tiny way celebrate, or in my case, enjoy the great music that this duo has been delivering for 20 years now.
20 years back the 21st July Kinki Kids had its CD and Album debut with "A album" and the single "garasu no shounen".
And I'm loving how active they have been this last year because this gave me the opportunity to know more about their activities in the past. Plus 'today' will be broadcasted the SP from their dorama 20 years ago. So, for my 2nd post regarding their 20th anniversary, this is a song I wanted to translate a while ago, according to my draft 10 months ago, but now is finally done ~
And this is a song to remind us that is important to look back and remember all the memories... either way fans even got a choreo for this... but let's go first with the actual lyrics

[T/N]:Well, I'm a little in a hurry now, 'cause today here is yesterday there and that means friendship day... either way, this is, as usual not a literal translation, and in the video, which will be after this, there are some changes too. I'll mention here a couple I remember because they made me struggled, it's always really hard to start translating a song, the start is the hardest, at least for me.
So, I left it here like 'I love memories' but in the PV I put 'I love our memories' because the song is basically about that, the memories of Kinki along with their fans, so... And later on the lyrics, there were parts in which I changed a little the literal words such 'events' for days, I guess there's no much different day. I like the positive meaning of the song, and I always enjoy watching the PV which is a summary of all of their PVs until that point. I like it. So, my original intention for this post was doing a karaoke, as I like to do.
But first one last thing, it's actually the last part of the song, and the change was inspired by this tweet in which the fans were sharing a sort of hands choreography for the sabi (chorus) of the song, in which their sign meant like infinity~maybe making reference to their previous song Kinki kids forever, so I ended the song as 'Forever', cause if you don't mind a number of years that could pass, then that's our forever, lol.
As always I'm really sorry for any mistake, it wasn't intended. And my highlighted part is a Tsuyo-pon's part... so unusual in me lol
And as usual some comments on the song,
Musician Kohei Dojima, who served as the co-producer, was in charge of words, music, and/or arrangement for a total of six pieces, including funky pieces like “naked mind” and pop pieces like “No Matter How Many Years Have Passed.” The lyrics and melody for this gently emotional piece seem to be relatively easy to remember. Thus, as suggested by Tsuyoshi in the radio show, this song may be suited for singing at a concert by KinKi Kids and fans.

The DVD attached to the initial version contains the Music Clip for “No Matter How Many Years Have Passed” and the making video. The Music Clip shows KinKi Kids’ historical MVs since their debut and Koichi and Tsuyoshi watching them. The video moves us as it reminds us of the years KinKi Kids have spent together as well as their tie.

Koichi said, “It is a cheerful but moving piece.” Dojima said, “I wanted to write a piece for those who have gone to KinKi Kids’b concert and want to share their happy feelings with others.” Tsuyoshi finally said to Dojima, “Thank you very much for the good piece. I hope we can sing this song with everyone at our live concert.”

So, I usually friend lock posts like this with some video, but for this time, I think I'll leave this open for a while, 'cause it's their anniversary! lol. So, I wanted to karaoke their PV and here it is, I struggled a LOT trying to find an effect that fitted better than the majority that I usually do, that is quite over the top lol. Hope you can enjoy this song too :D BTW, I won't write down the pass this time, but it's the date of their debut with this format ddmmyyyy, 'cause that's the date format I normally use! lol

And to end this, it was really nice to get to know this duo, even though it was just a couple of years ago, actually, it was because I couldn't find one of their songs lyrics in English that I started to translate in a more proactive way. So, all I was able to discover with them is great music and their good humor. I really hope they can continue more years ahead and hoping Tsuyoshi will be able soon to perform again. <3<3
