Furusato

Nov 04, 2013 23:01

So, today I want to review, even though I have so many other things to do, this special on NHK with Matsumoto Jun.
Hajimari no uta.
The song of the beginning, I believe would be the translation, maybe making reference to the song of our origins.
But anyway, into it

Title: はじまりの歌
Title (romaji): Hajimari no Uta
Format: Tanpatsu
Genre: Human drama
Broadcast network: NHK
Broadcast date: 2013-Sept-23
Air time: Monday 19:30

About the plot

Well this is really a simple plot, there's not much story going on but this guy Wataru played by Jun-kun coming back home against his will for a job assignment. He is from this town, Hagi, but he now lives in Tokyo.

Wataru

Natsu

Eikura Nana as Natsu is his ex-girlfriend, a teacher, who wanted him to become a teacher as well. She is now working in their former school and is trying to form a children's choir.

They have this beautiful relationship where she uses his broken promise to make him do what she wants

So, he becomes the the accompanist for the choir

Wataru's family is formed by his sister, I don't know the actress but she is nice, her son, who is really particulary cute and his father. Wataru hardly understands his family or their peaceful life in Hagi, but coming back home will help him remember and getting back to his roots.

His place & tatami

His sister

This cute kid is his nephew

Tired?

Marika-chan!!! This was super cute

About Hagi

I think it's not an extraordinary special, but it definitely is heartwarming. Hagi is shown as such a beautiful and peaceful place. The sceneries are beautiful, you can really feel part of this town. The school is also so cute, small and charming. I love the lighting, the sunset views are so delightful and romantic by themselves. Hagi is shown to us through Wataru's eyes, and as he begins to remember and to feel attached to it again, the same happens to us.
Maybe it is about my preference, I love those quiet places much more than Tokyo's ones, plus the tatami, I just love their old style houses. The town when shown from above looked so great.

The lighting and I loved the second take

It looks like Natsu huh? 夏

Hagi and natsu mikan

Night and day

Sunset, beautiful!

About Hagi's people

Everyone looks really normal, like hardworking-townspeople. I like that. And the kids' part is just beautiful. I think Jun can really play the role of a nice guy ヾ( ' - '*) I mean it's not a very demanding role but he is able to translate the sense of familiarity, I mean he is able to become part of this scenery. Ok, maybe my opinion is biased, indeed it is, but the main point here is that this is the type of movies/special I really enjoy, just futsu and charming.( ・◇・)
Anyway Eikura Nana was really cute and interesting, the two of them really look good together \(◦’⌣’◦)/ Isn't it weird? their relationship here is totally normal and not a taboo, like in 'I love my little sister', but they almost look cuter, like a whole bunch of years later.

Jun's job that brought him back to Hagi

Friends and kids

Trip to the beach!!

Kyaa and mikan

Kyaa and Sunset, beautiful!

So, you were popular with girls in Tokyo????

I love their chemistry, cute!

About my marks

Well maybe it's not that appealing for all the tastes but I really enjoy this genre. It's based on Arashi's Furusato version of the song, and it obviously makes reference to Japan as home, but that's something we all can relate to, the feeling of coming back home, I mean. Plus his dream of becoming a teacher, I can totally identify with it.

Cute couple + Hagi

My grades 3 and a half star, a really cute and charming special that I would enjoy to watch again, so two winks (≧▽≦)

And I think this was what encouraged Jun-kun to take pics, those pics on Music Station looked like Wataru taking pics lol. I love how he can, each time, find new things to know and/or love. I love that!

His pics plus kids calling him sensei, that must be the best!!

♡♡♡ (≧◡≦)~♥ -

Who took the unrelated pics?

The answer

Anyway now I'm just going to blah about how cute Matsujun looked. Indeed he looks grown up but so handsome, I can't help but notice that in each of his works, maybe noticing that it's a little distracting but also super charming, so, that would be the reason for one of the two winks. He really looks super cute with Eikura Nana, specially at the end. I love to see Jun-kun in romantic scenes, he always can pull that off. The other characters, despite being unknown to me were really nice and entertaining to watch. Even though it is a little bit slow paced or there aren't many plot twists this is not boring at all. At the end it leaves you a really nice feeling ♥‿♥ , familiar, like when you reach home.
