Update on life, school, Christmas requests, commissions, doujinshi, job, etc.
Sooo, one of my New Year's resolutions is use this journal (and deviantArt) to the fullest, and I need to get into the habit of posting. Ahaha, so, I'll be making a series of updates here, since I haven't had much of a chance to break it down during the days. Some of this information is important to you guys, so, please read!

After you said that, I went to your DA account and just. Seriously. fav-bombed your new illustrations. Oh my! You are becoming amazing at coloring, seriously! I especially love the warm colors you have been utilizing on your current illustrations, and your first time with airbrush was really cleanly done. *-* I love the message in the girls' one too, and just afnakfdaskfdas. I really love your illustrations!
Yeah, true, LJ is definitely a lot less in your face, which is why I have come to enjoy it. Of course, DA is good for what it does too, although, lately it's become rather bloated and heavy.
Yeah, we deserve to take a break, but I have a feeling that won't be happening soon. ;-; I really want to get back to drawing and actually get something finished. I've been itching to draw for awhile now.
Not sure what to expect from April Fool's this year! We already got the BFT completed. I guess I'll just wait to be pleasantly surprised~.
Same. I like to think that Romano and Veneziano actually have a lot of issues between each other, but they take the time to support each other. Veneziano definitely cares very much about his older brother. <333 This Christmas showed that Romano will relent for his and even Germany's sake. Very intriguing! Also, I found it rather touching despite how hilarious it was though. Considering Vene's track record, the fact that he trusts Germany enough to strip even at the expense that Germany may be planning something perverted shows to me just how much he trusts and knows Germany. <3

Here is a link: http://community.livejournal.com/hetadoujin/ At the moment, it's split into two books, since we had many people interested, but the likelihood that all of them are actually going to participate in the end is low, so, you might make it into the first book if you get your entry out early enough. x3 Entries are due April!
Also, I'm a moderator for it and have been pretty much helping the person who proposed the idea since I know how doujinshi/print-on-demand printing works. If you want, you can send me an entry, and if you do a comic in Italian, the person is willing to put a separate page at the end so you can include an English translation, or you can just do English typesetting. orz; It's up to you, you have a lot of time to plan for it! Just drop by the page and give the person a message if you are interested. (:
I really wanted to be part of the Clamp one. D: I a lot things were happening in my life when that deadline came around, and well, let's just say that I really regret not submitting something. ;-; The project was absolutely stunning. I wasn't expecting so many people to submit that. I really do hope Clamp enjoyed the project. ;-; I hear it was received well by Chibiyuuto.
....Really? :DDD We should plan one then! I could use more inspiration for future projects myself! I mean, I'd love to work on an anthology project with you. You are so kind and mature, and your art is amazing. *-* I think it would be fun to be partners once in awhile. Anthologies, to me, are such a treat because you get to see so many dedicated artists and writers in one, large book. I kind of would like to host a huge Germany, Italy, and GerIta anthology one day, maybe on the GerIta comm, but I think I need to play with printing companies to see what the best options are. Do you know of any professional self printing services in Italy or surrounding countries? I've seen http://www.printcolorweb.com/ (Spanish) used a couple times! The Western TRC C&M group uses this now and it works way better than Lulu.com, can't read it though. ;; Blurb, which is what the Clamp project uses, is very high quality, but the prices are too expensive. ;;

Oh, and yeah, I saw the favs, thank you so much! And thanks for all the compliments, I only wish I had more time to put more effort and try out more things in my drawings, I sadly lack time to practice so I wonder if I really get any better, sometimes ^^' but thanks a lot! ♥
I know. But I was done with one exam today, and I'm so tired I know that I need a break this weekend, although theoretically I should spend it studying, buuuuut...
Yeah, their relationship is so sweet and fun, although they surely have their problems. But in the end, what makes up for them is that they really love and care for each other so much! :3
And yeah, definitely: it's moving to see how Italy trusts Germany completely, even though sometimes he doesn't really follow what he says, but yeah. There is so much sweetness - and angst - in his blind trust ;3;

I see. Well I didn't have much time so I ended up using drawings I already had already drawn, but that project made me seriously happy! :) They seemed glad to receive it too, since what we could read from their reply message.
I sadly never checked out printing companies because I never thought I could actually get to contribute to an anthology myself, ahah, so I wouldn't know. I bought some of Inma and Kaoru-chan's doujinshis and the quality of the print is very good, and the prices are okay. I sort of can read Spanish, but I couldn't write anything in that language XD'''
But seriously, I'm completely up to projects and collaborations~

Ehhhh, so sooooon~? I'm glad you like speaking with me. You are always a dear to speak with, so, when I get a response from you, I am usually quite bouncy, hee hee~.
What? I think you have been practicing loads as of late! Your marker skill has really increased over the time I last saw it, and your inking skills are still fantastic. Your first time with airbrush was really stellar too! Your coating of it was very clean! I say you are definitely getting better, always~.
So, did you actually relax last weekend? ;D I actually did myself, I got some needed sleep that I was I was seriously lacking. I didn't study much, but after such a hellish week, I decided to treat myself for once, ahaha.
Ah well, what relationship doesn't have their fair share of problems, eh? It's better to see an imperfect pair like them eventually sort out through their problems and still stick by eachother's side even as a result of them. It's very heart warming to see. ;-; And I agree! His trust in Germany is quite something, even if it's a little sad along with all the fluff.
Oh, well, don't stress yourself out! A month is a close deadline to reach, I understand, but I'm sure the book would benefit from a lovely illustration/postcard anyway~. Especially by one as lovely as your art~. Just, no pressure though! You already have so much on your plate.
Ahaha, yeah, I like to bring fandom together. <3 I believe a few times out of the year fandom should come together and just stop all their quarrels to remember why they love Hetalia and their fandom too~.

Ah, well, we are going to have to change that! ;D I know a ton about printing and publishing companies, so, I got us covered there. I was just curious if maybe you knew of some publishers in Italy. Inma and Lexi seem to have had quite a success with their Spanish printer, so, I was wondering if there were other quality printers in Europe myself. I'll keep searching!
asfnaskfnasklfanklsfdas I am sooo up for it, I've always wanted to participate in a team or with a friend and publish doujinshi. We'll make that dream a reality! We've got to come up with a topic we want to do for our first. <3 Of course, I have to actually try some printing companies to see what would be best for our resources, so, right now, I'll just say the deadline for our collaboration will be sometime this year, lol. At least, I hope. ;) I'm sure after we get used to it, it will become easier to make more of them. That and fff, who wouldn't want to work with an awesome artist and friend like you? <3

I did sleep a ot too :D even though it seems like I'm already as tired as I was before. But yeah, one cannot keep studying without breaks, you need to regain the energies at some point.
Yes definitely. Although there are so many adorable couples of brothers in Hetalia, these two are definitely my favourite ones, probably because they can be such derps, ahah.
And yeah, sad is the word for some aspects of the relationship - or rather, not the relationship itself, but at least for what Italy's trust is concerned, I see it as more related to his scarce self-confidence (although, again, he has his methods to be all dependant and then do whatever he wants nonetheless XD)
Actually, I was already planning to draw a picture for the anniversary of Italian Unity, which is in a month, so I'll probably end up submitting the same picture - if it turns put like I mean it to ;3; - for the book.
Aaaah, I can't wait to learn! :D But I can definitely try and have a look around, I don't know any Italian doujinshi artist, but I do know some wanna-be mangaka so I can check how they print their stories, etc. :)

Ah, I hear you. It's very difficult to make some time to practice, but I think often times, once you get into it, sometimes your first attempt is some of the best than the ones you'd make from even some subsequent tries at the them. Don't you love it when the hands work so differently from the mind? FFFF. xD
I find the Itabros so interesting because I like the angle of them not getting a long much, but even though their relationship is strained, through small gestures or words, they show that they really care about each other. /total sap orz;; I think deep down that makes them both happy, even if Romano wouldn't like to admit it~.
Oh wow, so it's not just me who has noticed this! I, too, think that Italy has a very low self confidence (not to mention that being proven in one of the strips and hinted even before that, even, and it makes a lot of sense too!). I've always thought that is one of the reasons, besides HRE, that Italy really doesn't allow himself to get too attached to others easily romantically, especially to an efficient man like Germany, because he knows he doesn't always work as hard as he should or holds the same quality of standards for a certain undesired task even though it's his responsibility to handle them. That must be a lot to bear, especially since he and his brother are figureheads of their own country and all! That and Italy's track record with other countries and their "picking" on him? Yeah, I can imagine a lack of self confidence, easily. I kind of wanted to see what was the result of Germany's attempt at trying to understand how to give compliments, hee hee~.
Ah, that's right! The anniversary of the Italian Reunification is just around the corner! That would be a wonderful entry and picture to make, I wish you all the luck in the world! I am sure you will do a magnificent job, though. Maybe you don't need the luck then. <3

Yeah, even if they aren't doujinshika, mangaka who do self printing also would have to use the same procedure in self publishing their stories, so, any advice from them would be great! I'm curious to hear if there are any reliable Italian print on demand companies, myself. I have to keep searching. orz;
Yeah, taking our time would be good. xDD;; Still, anything you'd be up to draw? I mean, I can work around any prompt really, even if it's a AU type of story. Any particular character you'd like to explore? I'm always up for Italies, GerIta, Spamano, Germanics, etc, since they are my main realm of interest. Although, I also like branching out, of course~. Doesn't have to be character centric either~. We can brainstorm more here or on msn too!
Oh, well, I haven't posted anything special in awhile. ;;; I did put two headshots recently, of New Zealand and a sketch of Italy you can see in my most recent post that I did a while ago. orz; /need to update this Spring Break I'll be posting more with the following weekend and week, so, you'll see something then! I have a lot of projects I want to start and complete. ^^

This is true. Although I wonder how this works, since theoretically one should get better step by step, not just change from one time to another XD Still, I can't help thinking I would improve so much more if I had actually time to practice constantly. But, oh well, since drawing for me it's just a hobby I won't complain too much! ^3^
Yeah! Despite him being such a happy boy, he has his angst moments, too. One is the low self-confidence (which is totally canon, and hinted many times, from the strip where he meets his young self who asks him to become big and strong, then all the little details like him refusing to wear the helmet because that would make him smaller, and so on), and the other (in my opinion) the fear of being abandoned, or better, of people disappearing from his life (Ancient Rome, HRE...). Therefore, I think that, despite him not being able to stay alone due to his sociable nature and need of help, it's not so easy for me to get romantically involved with people, because he fear he won't be able to keep up with the situation and will end up being left alone again - as it's showed in the episode of the dream, where Germany and Japan leave him behind and everything.
Yeah, I haven't started to work on it yet, though D: And I should write to the community of the artbook for my participation too ;_; *forgot*
Let's see. My favourite characters are definitely the Italies and Germany, but I like almost everyone.. mh, yeah, we need brainstorming! :D
And pffft, forgive me my fail, I don't even know how I managed to miss the post with the drawings! I guess sometimes my f-list is just flooded and I... just skip things XD
