OS X Leopard - Cool Dock Hack
I just finished installing OS X Leopard on my new laptop and I already hate the new, over-done "glass shelf" style dock. Fortunately, thanks to this review in Ars Technica, I discovered there's a hack to fix it built into the OS!

The code to do it is actually in that Terminal window, but for cut-and-paste purposes here it is again:
% defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
% killall DockSo much nicer looking, and easier to use! I particularly like the solid white dots for active icons -- way easier to see than those fuzzy blue orbs on the glass dock.
