The house is warm
We had our first party in Albuquerque this past Saturday, a housewarming. It was a great party, I think the best I've been to in quite a while. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we got a lot of compliments on the house. People were impressed at how organized we are. They haven't seen the back room full of boxes, but really I have to agree that we've managed to settle in here in pretty close to record time.
I'm using the "moving" tag here for the last time. Now I feel "moved". We've made some great friends already, which again I feel is pretty amazing for the amount of time we've been here. We pretty much know our way around town. We've been to a number of really nice restaurants. We know where the gaming stores are and where to buy used DVDs. We've patronized a museum or two, been to a few parks and a national monument. There's still quite a lot left to see and do here.
I imagine we'll be having more parties in the future: movie nights, gaming, or just hanging out. I imagine we'll be meeting more people and making more friends.
