Call for Apps

If anyone would like to suggest PalmOS apps that I should try out on the Treo 600... Of course I'm especially interested in the free and open source stuff, but if there's something you consider invaluable (or at least worth the price) please let me know. I've never owned a PDA before, so I am a total n00b in fishing through what's available out there.

In particular:
Simple financial transaction manager that produces output I can sync up with MoneyDance
Utility to create ringtones I can upload ($1.99 for a 3 second MIDI file? WTF?)
