How did you get into slash?

Apologies if this topic has already been discussed in the past - I've only managed to work my way through to the Nov 2008 postings so far - real life does insist on getting in the way with things like work and such-like!  I was curious as to how people discovered slash in general, and got into Chuck/Casey slash in particular.

In the hopes of getting the ball rolling, I'll begin.  I go thru obsessive phases with TV shows.  Back in the late '90s I discovered Blake's 7, and got *utterly* hooked - Avon being my fave char (I like bad boys - hence Casey).  I trawled thru used video stores etc (Although I live in Scotland now I'm from Canada originally, so I didn't see it when it first aired.) and gradually managed to watch every ep, but occasionally there were long stretches b/w finding the next tape.  (No download culture back then.)  While trawling the Internet looking for B7-related stuff to tide me over b/w videos, I discovered the wonderful world of fan fiction.  That led me *very* quickly to the world of slash fic.

When S1 of Chuck aired last year in the UK I watched it and found it passably entertaining, but it wasn't a "must see".  I didn't even bother recording the 1st few eps of S2 when it started a couple of months ago.  But while hunting around online recently trying to find any slash stories for Eli Stone (my previous televisual obsession) on a great site called Kinkfest! I found the one-and-only Eli/Jordan fic that seems to have been written.  And to pass the time I read a Chuck/Casey story (don't remember which one, now), and I was *hooked*.  So much so that I ordered the S1 boxed set and have been watching them excessively ever since, (likewise the 8 S2 eps that have aired here), and reading loads of fantastic C/C stories on this wonderful site.  (For those who may not have discovered them yet, check out imkalena's stories.)

I like to think that I'm not entirely alone in being so obsessive when it comes to TV programmes.  Does anyone else go thru phases like this?
