Random tidbit: Rice has more genes or chromosomes or whatever than we do - crazy talk(but true).
I just got back from the Interpol concert at the Paramount. I got their second cd during my Cali trip and thought it didn't quite live up to the praise compared to the first one. SO I was hoping their performance would make up for it.... It did.... kinda. They had better opening bands than modest mouse and a light show to boot (way too bright though). But after jumping back and forth between the songs on the first and second album, it's obvious that the songs from the former are more developed. The more I think about it the more it seems that their first album should have been second to show progress rather than just being different (choruses and hooks in the second one). I guess it's an example of the sophomore slump; lots of time into the first album while the second is kind of rushed through the song building process. Eh, c'est la vie; as some assholes would say (muaauaahaha).
Still a decent album, but I'm going to pop in some newly aquired m ward or broken social scene.
ps: I can't find "From a Basement On The Hill" anywhere. Ugh, stupid Sam Goody on the corner by my house. And 2 blocks away. And barnes and noble. And borders books. what an early friday night, though it's kind of nice for a change.
