CHAPTER 5
“Why is this place so boring?!” Saeyoung said to herself as she sat behind the counter of Torofv. She twirled her seat around and watched a spinning ceiling. It was afternoon and the shop didn’t have customers that day and so the place was empty except for her and Mr. Chan.
“What are you doing?” Mr. Chan approached Saeyoung with a feather duster in one hand. “Help clean!” The elder man threw a cloth at Saeyoung’s face, causing her to jerk up.
“EWW!” Saeyoung grimaced as he quickly pulled the cloth away from her face with her thumb and her index finger.
“Get to work!” Mr. Chan exclaimed as he walked away.
Junsu came through the entrance of the shop and waved to Mr. Chan. “Good afternoon!” Junsu got closer to Mr. Chan and glance at Saeyoung who continued spinning her chair. Junsu shook his head and reverted his gaze back to his boss.
“Thank God! You back, Junsu!” Mr. Chan had a happy face and gave Junsu a big hug.
“Actually Mr. Chan, not today.” Junsu sheepishly smiled as he Mr. Chan slowly loosened the hug. “I have an art exhibit to go to tonight. I kinda promised I wouldn’t miss it.”
“What?!” Saeyoung got out of her chair and raced towards Junsu. “Oppa! You’re gonna leave me here?”
“Yes, Saeyoung. I have something important tonight and I can’t miss it.”
“But, bu-“
“No buts. Now go back to work and please, do help around.” Junsu sighed as he looked at his sulking sister.
“Well, I have to get going Mr. Chan. The art show starts in an hour.” Junsu bid goodbye to Mr. Chan and Saeyoung, and left the shop.
Mr. Chan continued with his cleaning duty when he remembered that he hasn’t properly stored one painting that was delivered days ago. He headed off to the storage room and looked for the painting. As he scanned through the place, he saw a bronze hand on the floor. Curious about it, Mr. Chan approached it and picked it up. After close examination, he recognized the hand which comes from one of the most expensive artworks delivered to his shop. Panicking, Mr. Chan searched for that bronze statue. He spotted a tall object with a quilt draped over it. As soon as he pulled the cloth off the object, it was confirmed that the loose hand in fact belonged to an expensive piece.
Releasing puffs of air, Mr. Chan’s face reddened. “KIM SAEYOUUUUNG!”
A voice echoed from the back until the main exhibit room of the shop. Saeyoung heard the voice and immediately stopped spinning her chair and sat up with wide eyes. “Oh shit.”
--------------------
Joongki dressed up in a sleek black suit. It had perfectly hugged his body shape, giving him a very chic look. He had dressed for the art show. He lied to Boyoung about not going to the exhibit since he wanted to check up on how Junsu was doing after the break up.
Gathering his wallet and car key, Joongki headed to the door but stopped when it suddenly jerked open. The shock had made his shoulders jerk up but was relieved that it was only Boyoung.
“Where are you going dressed like that?” Boyoung observed the suit Joongki had and was curious why he wore them.
“Oh I uh… I’m just going out to dinner with some friends.” Joongki quickly replied and combed his hair back to hide the tremble of his hands.
“Dinner? But I thought you had work to do?” Boyoung raised an eyebrow and was growing suspicious of Joongki.
“Yeah. We have a meeting and they set it up in a restaurant.” Boyoung got closer to Joongki and continuously slapped his arm. “Ow!”
“You’re lying! Don’t think you can fool me. I already know that you and Junsu broke up! What, planning to go to the art show?”
Joongki winced at the throbbing pain on his arm. “Wait, how did you find out about the break up?”
“Junsu himself.” Boyoung scoffed. “There I was being all friendly to him while he knew about it already! You told me you were going to tell him after the art exhibit! What happened to that huh?!”
“It wasn’t my choice that Junsu found out.”
Boyoung was shocked at what Joongki said and kept quiet for a while. “What do you mean?”
Joongki sighed and pinched his nose bridge. “He saw us in Perriot that night…”
“Shit. I knew we should’ve gone someplace else.” Boyoung combed through her hair in frustration. “But how come you didn’t tell me?! I looked like a fool in front of Junsu, acting innocent and shit.”
“I didn’t want to upset you when you weren’t ready for it.”
“So you were just gonna lie to me until then?”
Boyoung glared at him when he didn’t answer, feeling like he was fooling with her just like he did with Junsu. After seeing the pain and hurt in Junsu’s face, she didn't want to be involved with him anymore. Not even for a second.
"Only lies come out of that mouth of yours," she retorted, turning around to leave.
Joongki grabbed hold of her arm and pulled her back. “Wow, look who’s talking. What about you, huh? You’ve been lying to your best friend too, you know!”
“Don’t you dare turn this around on me!” Boyoung retorted. “Now let me go. I just want to get out of this hell hole. I can’t believe I went through all that for you.”
“Okay, okay. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.” Joongki pulled her closer to his body and hugged her by the waist. “Forgive me? I swear this won’t happen again. Trust me.”
Boyoung chuckled dryly and pushed herself out of Joongki’s embrace. “No. Wow, I’m actually starting to envy Junsu for ending it with you.” She stomped out of the house and headed to her car.
“Wait! Boyoung-ah!” Joongki tried calling out to her but she already sped off.

Yoochun sneaked out his bike from his father’s staff to go to an art exhibit. He stopped his Ecosse Titanium bike by the pavement and fetched his phone. It had been ringing for the past five minutes and it was annoying Yoochun. Seeing the caller ID, he took off his helmet and answered the phone in annoyance. “What do you want, Min?!”
“Oh nothing, hyung. Just wanted to tell you to HURRY YOUR ASS HERE.” Changmin voice boomed from the other line.
Yoochun pulled the phone away from his ear and winced at the sudden loud voice from the speaker. “Sheesh. I know already. I’m five minutes away.” There was a few seconds of silence before Yoochun talked again. “Is Geunsuk with you guys?”
“Oh you know how it is when it concerns Jieun noona. He gets all depressed and stuff. He said he wasn’t feeling good so he won’t be able to make it. He sucks at lying though. He was just drinking booze with us yesterday!”
“Let him be.” Yoochun sighed. “Anyway, I’ll get there soon. Bye.” They exchanged goodbyes and Yoochun revved his bike to life, put back his helmet on, and rode off.
A few minutes later, Yoochun arrived at the location of the exhibit and was now inside the building with Changmin and Yunho. A waiter passed by them carrying a tray of champagne glasses and Yunho took three from it, handing the other two to Changmin and Yoochun. “So, ready to meet Song Jieun?” Yunho particularly directed his question at Yoochun.
Yoochun just rolled his eyes at his hyung and scanned the area. He soon spotted the lady he was looking for and saw that she was talking with someone else. Feeling nervous after finally seeing her, Yoochun chose to wander around first and calm his heart before approaching Jieun.
“Junsu-yah!” Jieun hugged Junsu tight as she spotted him. “How have you been?” She scanned Junsu’s look for the night and approved of it. “You look fantastic by the way. By the way where’s Jaejoong oppa?”
“Hyung called a while ago and said he couldn’t make it since he still had a client to tend to. And you look stunning, noona,” Junsu complimented with a big smile. “So, how’s the night so far?”
Jieun let go of Junsu and linked her arm with his, leading him to somewhere. “It’s going good, actually. Oh! Junsu-yah. The painting we did together was smashing! The people inside have been raving about it ever since they spotted it.”
Junsu smiled with a blush. “Well, you did an amazing job with it anyway.”
“Oh don’t be so modest about it! You practically did the majority of it! And because of that, I have a surprise for you.” Jieun pulled Junsu towards their collaboration and pointed a name plate under it.
Junsu’s eyes widened at what he saw. The painting was under his name and not Jieun’s, which means the painting is technically his. “Surprise!”
“Noona, this is too much. I… I-“
“No it’s not! You know your skills Junsu. And you know you made this painting. I have no right to put my name under it.”
With a genuine smile, Junsu hugged Jieun. “Thanks, noona.”
“I can’t wait for your own art show, Junsu. People will definitely love you for your amazing talent.” Jieun put one hand on Junsu’s shoulder.
“That won’t be happening any time soon. I haven’t been creating a lot of pieces recently.”
“That’s totally fine! An artist needs his time to create the best of the best, right?” Jieun smiled.
Junsu nodded and let his eyes roam around the room. He saw a lot of people who looked rich and prosperous. He then spotted a couple who were embracing each other as they admired the contemporary piece in front of them. It reminded Junsu of what was supposed to be that night. Like the couple, Junsu was supposed to be together with Joongki in the art show. He was supposed to be showered with congratulations and love from his lover but fate had other plans for him.
Jieun noticed the saddening expression on Junsu’s face and got curious about it. She followed where Junsu was looking and saw a couple in front of her most recent piece. The sight reminded her of Junsu and Joongki. “Say Junsu, how’re things with Joongki?”
A sigh escaped Junsu’s mouth as he faced Jieun. “Actually, we’re not together anymore.”
“What?! Really? But you guys were the perfect couple! Your stories about you guys together seemed so sincere all the time”
Junsu bitterly chuckled and looked down. “Well, not so perfect after all. He cheated on me.”
“How could he cheat on you?! Look at you! You’re a really good catch Junsu.” Jieun exclaimed.
“I guess I wasn’t the person he was looking for, much less a guy.” Junsu shrugged his shoulders.
Jieun sighed deeply. She could tell that Junsu wasn't in the mood to talk about it, so she sealed her mouth and embraced her friend in a hug instead.
"He didn't deserve you anyways," she mumbled.
"Thanks, noona."
"No problem," Jieun replied, parting ways with Junsu. She glanced towards the entrance and found a familiar brunette walking in wearing a black dress. "Isn't that your friend, right there?"
Junsu turned round and found Boyoung standing there. Immediately, he grew nervous and angry at the sight.
"Boyoung," he whispered.
"What a good friend! Supporting you at a time like this," Jieun smiled.
Junsu swallowed the lump in his throat. "Yeah, such a good friend!" Junsu replied, sarcastically.
Boyoung walked in confidently, greeting people as she passed - proud of her sexy outfit- and spotted Junsu and Jieun in the middle of the room. She waved lightly at them, but she only received a wave from Jieun. Junsu just stared at her blankly as if she wasn't even worth looking at.
“You look so dashing, oppa!” Boyoung complimented. “And the pieces here are wonderful, eonni!”
“Why, thank you dear!” Jieun smiled, oblivious to the tension between the two friends
Junsu scoffed at Boyoung, disappointed that he saw her face again. “How could you even show your face here?”
“I’m here to support you, oppa! That’s what friends do!” Boyoung tried to state, wanting to salvage their friendship.
“Friends don’t betray the people they care about.” Junsu retorted, angered by Boyoung’s act.
“That’s what I’m here for, oppa. I want to make up for what I’ve done. I’ve actually broken up with Joongki oppa so you should be happy.” Boyoung sighed.
“Wow, so now you’re doing me favors, huh? Well, thank you for your generosity but I don’t need that piece of shit.” Junsu harshly said with a hushed voice.
Jieun stepped back and gaped at Boyoung. “You’re the other lover?!”
Embarrassed by what Jieun said, Boyoung didn’t reply and just continued looking at Junsu.
“So what are you doing here? Do you want me to congratulate you or something?” Junsu raised an eyebrow.
Boyoung sighed in frustration. “Oppa, that’s not what I mean. I treasure our friendship. I don’t want to lose this because of a man.”
Junsu laughed, bemused of what Boyoung said. “Really? Well if you really did treasure our friendship, you wouldn’t have even thought about stealing my lover! You’re such a slut!”
Boyoung scoffed at slut, completely offended by it. "Lover?" she laughed without realizing it. "He has to love you to be your lover. And I didn't steal him, oppa. He came to me."
Junsu could feel his blood boil in his veins. Boyoung really had the nerve to come up here and flaunt her raunchy body at the gallery just so she could rub Joongki’s love for her in my face! I hate her!
“Hey, hey! Enough. Stop that dirty mouth of yours Boyoung.” Jieun stepped in front of Junsu. “You have no right talk like that. Now get out.”
“I-“
“If you speak another word inside this building, I’ll make the guards drag you out of this hall. You wouldn’t want to embarrass your pretty face, right?” Jieun taunted her.
Boyoung fixed her dress and avoided any eye contact with the people watching them. And she walked out, shamefully.
When she finally disappeared through the glass doors, Jieun turned to Junsu and shook her head in disappointment.
"She was the one Joongki cheated with?" she asked.
"Obviously," Junsu replied, smoothing his sideburns. “Sorry about the trouble.”
“It’s okay, don’t worry about it. This is supposed to be our day. Don’t let it bother you, alright?”
With a nod, Junsu smiled as he faced Jieun.
“Gosh, I wish we could eat a tub of ice cream and a hundred bars of chocolates together. I’m supposed to be your emo buddy,” Jieun pouted.
“Then tomorrow we’ll eat a tub of ice cream and a hundred bars of chocolate!” Junsu held a small smile, amused of his noona.
Jieun shook her head. “But that’s the thing. I won’t be here tomorrow since I’ll be taking off again.”
“Seriously?!”
“Yeah. Sorry Junnie. It’s just that they’ve been pressuring me to have another international art show and not just here so I’m left with no choice but comply.”
Junsu nodded. “It’s alright. Work is work, right?” Junsu chuckled before continuing on. “But I’ll definitely wait for you. I terribly need my emo buddy. Jae hyung is far beyond depressed to be an emo buddy. Well, have a safe flight tomorrow, noona.”
“Hmm, I will. And I’ll definitely be back soon to have our ice cream sesh.” She winked at him and giggled. “Anyway, let me leave you for a while Junsu. I’ll just tend to the other guests.” She put a hand on Junsu’s shoulders.
“Alright.” With that, Jieun walked away and chatted with some other people, leaving Junsu wandering around the hall.
--------------------
“So yeah, we’ll be having our training soon.” Yoochun mentioned to the two guys.
“Training? For what?” Yunho asked as he took a sip from his second glass of champagne.
“Jaesuk hyung wanted to teach us how to brew coffee and tea. Just the basics anyway.” Yoochun shrugged and swirled the champagne in his glass.
“Ugh. But I don’t want to brew tea or coffee. I want to bake the sweets! And besides, Yunho hyung doesn’t need training since he did attend a lot of bistro seminars. He’s good with the barista stuff!”
“Hyung might be good at it but we’re not. So we need the training,” Yoochun replied.
Changmin let his head fall back as he closed his eyes. “I don’t wanna spend time spilling hot stuff on my hand.”
“You have to learn how to do it, Min. If the situation arises, the shop might need your services in brewing. And besides, what do you expect? Scooping a teaspoon of Folger’s into hot water and adding some sugar and cream?” Yunho butted in.
“Well, actually, I was expecting it to be as easy as emptying a pack of 3 in 1 and pouring hot water in a cup.” Changmin shrugged as he sipped from his glass.
“OMG guys!” A voice from behind startled the three and made them turn around. There they saw walking towards them a pretty lady in a stunning silver dress.
“Jieun noona!” Changmin first greeted and ran towards her, giving her a big hug. Yunho followed and joined in as well. “Welcome back, baby girl.”
As the two grown men let go of her, she walked towards Yoochun who looked at her unfalteringly. “Yoochun-ah.” As she neared Yoochun, she hugged him by the shoulder which Yoochun gladly returned. “How have you been?”
Yoochun pulled away a bit and looked at Jieun. “Good. But better now that you’re here.”
“The ever so cheesy Chun,” Jieun chuckled. “Never gets old. Oh, is Geunsuk here too?”
Jieun let go of Yoochun and searched the area, looking for Geunsuk. Yoochun cleared his throat and turned to where she was. “He couldn’t come. Said he didn’t feel too good.”
Jieun looked at Yoochun with a disappointed expression. “Oh.”
Not wanting to have an awkward time, Yunho acted fast. “Well, since you’re here now, when shall we have our own mini welcome party?”
A sheepish smile crept on Jieun’s face. “Actually, I can’t. Sorry oppa. I definitely want to celebrate with you but my flight’s at 4 am. Tomorrow I’ll be in Australia for who knows how long. But I swear I’ll be back this year.”
“Aww… Bummer.” Changmin pouted as he heard of the news.
“Jieun-ssi!” A voice from not very far away called out. It was Jieun’s coordinator calling for her. “There’s something I need to discuss with you.”
Jieun signaled her approval and averted her eyes to the three men in front of her. “Sorry, guys. I’ll be back with you later.” Jieun walked away from them and headed to the middle of the hall, talking to her coordinator.
Yunho and Changmin kept quiet, knowing how Yoochun was feeling at the moment. They didn’t want to further upset their friend any more than he was. Sensing that Yoochun needed his time, the both of them let him walk off around the hall.
Yoochun stopped in his tracks and looked back to the two men. “I’ll head out first.”
“What? But Jieun’ll be leaving tomorrow. Can’t you stay for a little while longer?” Yunho wanted to force Yoochun to stay but he knew Yoochun was not in the mood to argue.
“Yeah, hyung. At least say goodbye to noona first. Do you want to miss out on her again?” Changmin asked.
A small but sad smile appeared on Yoochun’s face. “It’s okay. I’m used to it anyways.” With that, he walked away and out of the building.
Changmin sighed as he stared at his hyung. “He gets too dramatic sometimes.”
--------------------
It has been two hours since Yoochun had gone out. He had wandered around with his bike and found a park nearby. He was now sitting on one of the swings and was letting his foot dig on the sand bellow him. His mind kept on thinking about how Jieun looked when he told her that Geunsuk didn’t attend her art show. Wasn’t it enough that the three of us came? Wasn’t I enough?
Yoochun’s mind was about to wander off to the good memories with Jieun when suddenly a loud voice disturbed his thoughts.
“LA LA LA LA~ LA LA!”
Not wanting to be bothered by it, Yoochun closed his eyes and thought back to the fun times he had with Jieun.
“JEONGMAL PABO SARANGIYA!”
Someone was clearly singing one of Lee Junki’s songs with all his heart but the singing was out of tune and was slurred. Yoochun tried to concentrate on keeping his mind and heart peaceful but the singing voice grew louder and louder.
“JEONGMAL PABO SARANGIYA, NAN NEOBAKKE MOLLA NEOMAN SARANG” A deep breath. “HAE!!!”
Not being able to take the deafening noise, Yoochun stood up to get a glimpse of who it was that was making a racket in the middle of the night. Yoochun walked out of the park and into the streets and there he found a man in a suit with a bottle in one hand singing his heart out. Yoochun cringed when the man tripped and fell on all fours but got worried when he didn’t stand up.
Wanting to check if the man was okay, Yoochun headed to the man’s direction and bent down to get a good look at the person. Yoochun reached out under the man’s face and lifted the man’s chin only to be shocked by who it was. It was a drunken Junsu who was on the ground with a bottle of soju.
Junsu looked up on his own and looked at the person in front of him. Not being able to make out a face since he was single double, Junsu laughed and took another gulp from his bottle.
Yoochun tried to pry off the bottle from Junsu’s hands but Junsu pulled it away from his reach. “Uh-uh-uh!” Junsu kneeled down and waved his index finger side to side in front of Yoochun’s face.
“Why do I always find myself in difficult situations because of you?” Yoochun shook his head and got up.
“Jeongmal pabo sarangiya! JEONGMAL! STUPID JOONGKI! BOYOUNG TOO! Love! Me! NO!!!” Junsu started singing again but soon ended up shouting nonsense.
Junsu tried to get himself off the ground but his legs were wobbly and caused him to fall back. Luckily Yoochun was there to support him with his arms. Since Yoochun grabbed hold of Junsu by the waist, Junsu ended up hugging Yoochun and shoving his head hard to Yoochun’s chest.
“Ow…” Junsu looked up and tried to rub his eyes to clear his vision. He couldn’t stand up properly so he just let the man carry all his weight. When the fuzziness went away, Junsu recognized who it was in front of him. “Oh! Mr. Maserati!”
Yoochun nodded in amusement. “"Yes, it's me."
"What are you doing here!" Junsu questioned, suddenly changing moods. After many attempts, Junsu successfully steadied himself without Yoochun’s support.
"I'm just checking on you," Yoochun answered. "I think you've been drinking too much," he added, grabbing the bottle from Junsu’s hands.
"Nope!" Junsu responded, pulling the bottle away from him. Yoochun grabbed it and placed it far away from Junsu. He was too drunk to even go searching for it and he returned back to his side.
“Well, I gots to go home now Yoochunnie!” Junsu mumbled as he willed his feet to carry him but ended up falling forward but Yoochun was quick enough and stretched his arm in time to catch Junsu.
He sighed deeply. "You're not sober enough to go home alone. I'll take you," he suggested.
"You?" Junsu questioned, poking his finger right on Yoochun’s nose. Yoochun was surprised by the sudden touch, and pushed Junsu’s finger down. But he put his finger back on the tip of Yoochun’s nose again. "You have a broken car."
"I have a bike," he replied, holding his hand away from his face.
“You have something else aside from your car?” Junsu pouted. “Just like that stupid Joongki having someone else aside from me. STUPID JOONGKI I HATE YOU!” he cried out. "Hate hate hate!" Junsu repeated, hitting Yoochun on top of his head crazily.
"HEY! STOP IT!" Yoochun demanded, wincing at the slaps on his head. He quickly grabbed Junsu by the waist and picked him up. Then he started walking up to his bike with Junsu draped over his shoulder.
“Woah! Put me down! KIDNAPPPER!!!” Junsu screamed. Yoochun’s eyes widened, and he quickly put Junsu down. "Ow! That hurt!" Junsu pouted, rubbing his butt.
Yoochun just stood there, observing the sloppy man on the ground and thought about just leaving him there. He even stepped aside to prepare to walk away, but he couldn't just leave Junsu out here in the middle of the night. Creepy guys would probably kidnap him and torture him or something.
He sighed deeply and scratched his head. "Oh what am I getting myself into?" Yoochun complained to himself, bending down to grab Junsu one more time. "I'm not kidnapping you okay? So don't scream," Yoochun ordered. "If you do, I'll drop you again. Do you want me to drop you again?"
Junsu’s glazed eyes slanted and he shook his head. "I won't scream," he replied.
"Okay, good," Yoochun answered, lifting Junsu up from the ground.
Yoochun began walking towards his bike and gently sat Junsu on the seat, with him hiding in front of Junsu. “Hold on tight okay?” Yoochun was about start the bike when Junsu wobbled and fell to the side clutching to Yoochun’s jacket. “Yah! Kim Junsu!” Yoochun groaned as he pulled Junsu back to the seat. “Damn. This is harder than I thought.”
With quick thinking, Yoochun removed his jacket leaving him with only his white dress shirt. He got the jacket around Junsu through his waist and tied the sleeves in front him. It was a tight squeeze but Yoochun can manage. At least there was no risk of Junsu falling over the bike. Yoochun wore his helmet and started riding off slowly.
“Hey. Don’t sleep. Where do you live?” Yoochun asked Junsu. There was no answer from Junsu except for a moan.
Yoochun’s back was warm on Junsu’s cheeks and that caused him to doze off. Yoochun kept on calling out his name but to no avail.
A sigh escaped Yoochun’s mouth as he increased his speed. “It just had to be you, didn’t it?” There was nowhere else to bring Junsu, so Yoochun had to settle with the last place he could think of. "It'll just have to do."
--------------------
The next morning, Junsu woke up with the most intense head ache he has ever had. He groaned at the pain and tried to open his eyes but the blinding light from the window made his head hurt even more. Junsu rolled over to his left, trying to hide from the light but soon he rolled off of whatever it was he was on top of. With an aching body, Junsu slowly sat up and opened his eyes only to be met with a strange room. He found out that he had been lying down on a black leather sofa with a thin red blanket which was tangled around his legs.
The room had solid white walls and the floor was carpeted. There was a coffee table just beside him with an odd looking vase and some magazines. Only one painting was hanging on the wall and it was just beside the fireplace. Junsu was confused and lost. He didn’t know where he was and he still wanted to continue observing the whole place to look for clues but that made him even dizzier. He leaned back on the sofa and propped a leg up.
"Ugh," Junsu groaned, holding his head to stop it from pounding. "Where am I?" he let out.
When he looked around, hoping to find some clue to where he was, he realized that there wasn't really much to conclude whose house he was in. All he knew was that it was really pretty and very clean. So he dragged himself off the floor, and searched around the place quietly. He walked past a mirror and scared himself the moment he saw his reflection. “Gawd, I look like shit!” he gasped.
His hair was sticking up in all the wrong places and his face had streaks of dirt. Whoever brought him home thought he wasn’t deserving enough to be brought to a bed. He stopped looking at himself in the mirror and tried to fix his messy hair before going around the place.
He walked away from the mirror and saw a spiraling glass staircase that was big and wide. Seeing that the floor he was in only had a kitchen and the living area, Junsu headed up the stairs. He was greeted with a wide space and a grand piano to his right. I wonder how that got to the second floor…
Junsu proceeded to walk to his left along the hallway with a window wall at the end of it. Walking past all the doors, Junsu looked out of the window wall and saw a great view of a backyard leading to a field. Turning to his left, a door was ajar and piqued his curiosity. Junsu entered it and saw a body on the bed, unmoving. That’s odd…
He walked even closer to the body and noticed a medicine bottle on top of the bedside table. He picked it up and saw that it was an empty bottle of sleeping pills. Panicking, he settled the bottle back and looked at the body beside him who he assumed just committed suicide using the pills. Junsu recognized Yoochun’s face and panicked even more with wider eyes. Junsu twirled around his place and found a door leading to the bathroom. Next thing you know, Junsu was splashing a glass of water on Yoochun’s face in hopes of waking him up.
Yoochun’s eyes flew open and a continuous coughing erupted from him as he sat up. “What the fuck?!”
Junsu was shocked and confused of what just happened. “You’re… alive?”
Yoochun used his arms and hands to wipe of the excess water on his face. “Of course I’m alive!”
“I thought you committed suicide?” Junsu replied.
“Why in the world would I do that?”
“That was empty.” Junsu pointed to the empty bottle on the table.
Yoochun got off the bed and walked to his dresser. “I didn’t empty that on one night.” Yoochun pulled a random shirt out and threw it to the bed. “I just had the last pill last night and I forgot to throw the bottle away.”
Yoochun pulled the wet covers off of his bed and rolled it into a ball.
Junsu felt stupid and embarrassed for jumping into conclusions. “I’m sorry,” Junsu said. “How did I even get here?”
“You don’t remember?” Yoochun asked as he stared at Junsu who looked like he had a mud facial. Junsu shook his head in response. “I found you drunk in the streets just opposite a park near the building that holds a monthly art show.”
Junsu groaned at his recklessness. “Did I say anything stupid?”
“Uh, you hit me and kept on saying you hate someone named Joongki.”
“Oh gosh. I’m so sorry.” Yoochun threw the big ball of cloth on the floor and got his shirt. “I better get home. My mom is probably worrying about me!” Junsu panicked and ran towards the door leading to the hallway.
“How will you go home? You’ll walk a six kilometer distance?” Yoochun stated as he pulled his shirt off. Junsu turned around and saw that Yoochun was shirtless. His eyes widened at the perfect looking body in front of him. Yoochun’s skin was as smooth as porcelain. He didn’t have humongous arms and a rigid six pack but the muscle definition was there. His back was the most defined and had a perfect curve ending at the small of his back. Yoochun had an even sexier body than Joongki.
“I’ll take you home.” Yoochun pulled on the new shirt and headed to Junsu.
“Okay…” Junsu answered slowly as he remained standing by the door.
Seeing that Junsu was kind of in a daze, Yoochun stopped in front of Junsu and waved his hand in front of Junsu’s face. “Hello, earth to Junsu.”
“Huh?” Junsu zoned out of his daze and looked at a dressed Yoochun.
“Come on, you lunatic. I’ll bring you home to your mommy,” Yoochun said dryly and walked past Junsu and down to the hallways.
Junsu scoffed, embarrassed that Yoochun now found out he still lived with his mom. He completely wiped away the thoughts of Yoochun’s beautiful bod and followed Yoochun down the stairs. The bottom room looked like a hang out place with a stereo and a wide screen TV. Then they turned the corner and entered the kitchen where Yoochun was opening the fridge. The place was really unique and very modern. It was certainly a bachelor pad. It was practically made for him.
Yoochun filled a glass with orange juice and handed it to Junsu. “Drink up.”
Junsu reached for it and took a sip. “Thanks.”
"I hope that's the last time I see you drinking on the street or even drinking that much at all," Yoochun stated as he watched Junsu down half of his drink.
“Oh, it will be the last time,” Junsu stated. “I’ll never drink like that again.”
“Good for you. But whatever it was that troubled you really got to you. You looked like a pig on the ground last night.”
Junsu scoffed at that and glared at Yoochun. “I don’t want to talk about last night with you. You’re mean!”
“I’m just saying,” Yoochun stated.
“Just take me home!” Junsu snapped, walking towards a door.
Yoochun chuckled to himself as he watched Junsu open the door leading to the pantry. “The door’s over there.” Yoochun pointed to another direction.
Junsu huffed and proceeded to go outside through the main doors. Yoochun trailed behind and grabbed his jacket on the coat rack before heading out.
“Where’s the car?” Junsu asked as he stopped and looked for a car.
Yoochun walked beside him and questioned. “What car?”
“The one you used to take me home!” Junsu pointed out.
A chuckle escaped from Yoochun. “Did you forget that you broke my car?” He walked towards a motorcycle that looked very expensive. “This is what I used to bring you here last night.”
“I’m supposed to ride that?” Junsu gulped and stared, frozen on his spot.
“Don’t be such a chicken. You rode this last night when you were unconscious. You can do it again.”
On the ride to Junsu’s house, it was quiet. It was weird that Yoochun was kind enough to bring him to his place when he was drunk last night when he didn’t even have to. It was even weirder when Yoochun even allowed Junsu to touch another of his possessions. Yoochun was actually a very nice person if he wanted to be.
“Was it the same reason as the last time you cried?” Yoochun asked as they stopped at a red light.
Junsu’s eyebrows crunched together, not understanding what Yoochun was asking. “What do you mean?”
“The reason why you got drunk last night. Was it the same reason when you had your episode inside the café?”
The red light turned green and Yoochun rode off. Junsu kept quiet and only answered Yoochun’s questions whether they go left or right. It was after twenty minutes that they reached Junsu’s house. Yoochun turned off the engine and removed his helmet. He was waiting for Junsu to let go of his jacket but the other didn’t move.
“Uh… We’re here,” Yoochun awkwardly stated. Junsu finally let go of the jacket but didn’t get off the bike. There was a moment of silence before Yoochun spoke again. “You didn’t answer my question a while ago.”
“Huh?” Junsu finally spoke. “Oh, that. Yeah, kinda.”
“Well, whatever it is that’s bothering you I hope it stops. Remember when I told you I don’t like weakness?” Yoochun reminded Junsu.
“Yeah,” Junsu responded.
“I hope you resolve your problems before you go to work. You have a week to do that before the café opens.”
Junsu scoffed. “So you just want me to quickly get over it and just move on?”
“Yeah,” Yoochun replied, nonchalantly.
“That’s impossible!”
“Then don’t come to work next week. As if I care,” Yoochun stated. “Now get off my bike before you break it as well.”
Junsu’s fists tightened at the comment but stopped himself from doing anything rash. He got off the bike and marched down to the door of the house. He turned around and was about to insult Yoochun but saw that he already rode off.
“Bastard!” Junsu groaned.
Junsu slammed the door open and came face to face with Saeyoung who had a facial mask on. Her eyes grew into saucers as she watched her dirty brother walk inside the house.
“You look like you just came out of a garbage truck. What, did someone finally decide to rape you?” Saeyoung snickered as her oppa gave her a dirty glare.
“Shut. Up. I’m not in the mood.” Junsu started walking up the stairs
“No, seriously. What happened last night?” Saeyoung called out as she closed the front door.
