rabbit rabbit!
whelp, it's September... forgive me if i'm not so thrilled about it, but i really enjoyed having most of my mornings off. i also enjoyed not having to run from school to school to work, and i really appreciated the pace that August gave me: not too fast, but not too slow. :P
granted i squandered my free time watching youtube, hanging out at home with Kay doing nothing, and just vegging with some DVDs, i was still semi-productive in the sense that i had to work 8-9 hours at ACB. ^_^; i also had to tag team hubs in taking care of a very sick and grouchy Kay half the time as well.
fortunately, Kay has gotten better and is back to her old self again. i'm going to have to kick my brain into ALT work mode come Tuesday, even if my body and subconscious are fiercely rebelling against that idea. omg, i've been such a procrastinator lately, even more so than usual!! ^_^;;
thankfully, the weather has cooled off immensely after the last typhoon that came by. Friday night was pretty scary with the typhoon storming up everything though. i realized that i reeeaaaallly don't like riding my bike in the pouring rain at night while lighting and thunder clash every 5 min or so... :( am i the only one who is afraid of being struck by lightning? it was so bad that my boss decided to call a typhoon day, so i didn't have to come into work on Saturday morning!! :D me and the rest of the staff were pretty psyched about that, because the next day, we realized that the typhoon had dissipated, and there were only a few scattered showers that day. of course, i still had to work at my Sat. afternoon job, but just having those extra hours free in the morning to do what i need to do and prep for classes does wonders to my stress levels ^_^
something else that happened on Saturday was that i found out that one of Kay's classmates at the hoikuen goes to the Saturday eikaiwa! she was in my class as a make up student (not on of my usual kids), and her mom pulled me aside to tell me that her daughter was in the same class as Kay. ^_^ i was really surprised because i had nooo idea ^_^;; after class, she invited me to come to her house some day for Kay and her daughter to play. i was soo happy to hear that since i knew zero of the moms in Kay's class! i was also really glad that her English was good enough to talk to me too :) we'll see what this will lead to since we still have to arrange for a playdate time, but hopefully, Kay and i will be able to go over to their place this month ^_^
in other news, i've been going to the dentist lately due to some discomfort i've been feeling in one of my top left molars. apparently, the filling got too old and cracked or something, which resulted in a small cavity forming in that tooth. i went in this morning to get the filling removed and a cast of my tooth done, but will have to wait a week before i can get a new filling to be put in my tooth. :P
i also have to post about a new place hubs took Kay to this weekend for their daddy day (totally a big hit!), but that'll have to wait until later because i've gotta get to bed earlier in order to wake up bright and early tomorrow.
