Another bombing... i am okay...
Sooo another bombing, this time I was getting out of the tube at Earls Court and i was rushed out by police/securities, then i hopped on to a bus to my new flat. They said there was another security issue... well little did i know i was riding Bus 28 towards Notting Hill. Then i heard this lady on the phone who kept saying "oh my god... oh my god", so i was like fock shit... wat now? THen the lady said there was another 4 bombings... man London is really getting it this time, such rage! Gotta say I AM OKAY and call everyone again.
As for my flat, its final, i will be living at the North end of Notting Hill, and the border of Westbourne Park W2 area. I am quite excited cause for the first time i had a flat to myself, the only downside was that the carpet was totally gross and I think its worse then the orange carpet cause vacuuming it doesn't seem to do ANY good at all today. The person before didn't do much cleaning. But its relatively cheap and in a nice area so can't complain. Plus when my friends come over for a visit, they can sleep on the sofabed (yup i just found out i have 2 beds in the room, yeah).
I also got a job, have orientation tomorrow then start work on monday. Don't worry its not a commission job anymore, and it doesn't involve running around. I will be working at Ramada Plaza Regents park as a reservation co-ordinator. I am below the proverty line again because 60% of that income goes to rent...but it will do, the people there seems really nice. Free meal (wuuhuu, save me 5-10 pounds a day) + uniform (they might have to tailor one for me again like they did at Marriott), so save money on clothes too, i plan to not buy anything related till i need it in the winter. It also means less laundry!! OH yesss, and this time it doesn't involve walking up and down 4 flights of stairs! =DD
I probably wont' have internet access as much b/c i don't plan to open a phone line + internet line at home. Frankly, i can't even find a phone line in my flat. So i'll prob. try to update my journal at an internet cafe. I hope they have internet at work... that would be helpful.
Yesterday , went to watch Madagascar cause it was 2 for 1 movie for Orange phone plan, we were at Leiscester sqr. and its turns out Kate Hudson was doing a movie preview red carpet thing there, annoying ppl crowding the street waiting to see. ANyhow, the movie was cute, not as funny as Shrek though. Then afterwards had italien food (one of leslie's friend recommendations) at Soho, seems like an 'interesting' area. I also managed to check out ChinaTown, i can tell when i was near it cause of that good old chinese kitchen grease smell... ahh. It feels more like spadina dt chinatown... i wonder if there is a london markham... if anyone knows please let me know asap. I also went to Wagamama for the first time, it was cute and the bowl of soup noodle was HUGE, cost me $20 though.. ahah thx ah row ben.
In conclusion, everything is settling down. By end of August i should be in a routine. Mom again has noted that HK has alot to offer, and its getting my brain all act up again regarding to this situation. Everytime she talks about it i just tell her i'll think about it later, could it be avoidance again? ahha Can't i be naive for just one more year... just one...
