Step Two: Get your pilot friend to show you The Weather Underground, and explain to you how to read the METAR format, on your phone, at a bar.

You, and Me, and Rainbows
I saw these amazing clouds over the northern part of Europe today. I haven't figured out what type of clouds they are, or what they are. They aren't Northern Lights. I've seen Northern Lights, and they dance. These weren't dancing. They were way higher than clouds tend to be - we were flying at 38,000 feet. Northern Canada and Greenland
Yesterday I flew back to Dubai from San Francisco. Throughout the fifteen hour serving spree, I sneaked chances to take photographs out the teeny galley windows. Icebergs! Fjords! The moon!
