hey guys and gals... jus thought i'd drop a line here on LJ about the tourney.... we didnt have anyone walk out with a trophy. i got to finals in oratory, and we would've had two other ppl in finals but they got edged out in a tie due to a thing called "judges preference".... its tough to explain so i wont go into it... i'll jus say i'm really ( Read more... )

Judges Preference is simply the preference of the judges.

complicated to ppl who dont know speech.... and actually heath, its even more complicated than that. the judges dont huddle 2gether and choose their preference. it goes to whomever was ranked higher by two of the judges. but as i may not have mentioned, its complicated to everyone except for the 2 ppl in speech who read the LJ
