geocaching
Went out on Monday with Drake and Koneko, after finally getting drake away from WoW and having to endure Oz's hairy arse, we got going.
first on our list was Klaus's Hide, a nice easy one in a park, took a travel bug out of that one, was going to leave one but I couldnt find it!
second was Pines Paradise, another easy walk after a minor setback of going the wrong way and scrambling over a creek, didn't take or leave anything in that one. On our way back we were crossing the bridge when drake says "what the hell is that?" it turned out to be a fairly large (and dead) lungfish we assumed it had been washed down from deeper waters during all the flooding last week
we sent koneko down to it so you could get an idea of its size.
Next on our list was Ginger Meggs, another easy one :) we were having a good day so far
took a tazo out of that one and left a compass.
Kaoshsiung was the next one, it was out sunnybank way and was a small park in a very expensive looking estate, I think if we had of been there to long we would have been chased out for not being rich enough to be there!
we let koneko find this one as he hadnt found any yet. reading thru the log we found an entry by what im gonna assume was a kid about 13-15, I wish I had of take a pic of the entry but basically he came across the cache by accident, read the info, made an entry in the log book and put it back apparently geocaching is "Wicked Rad" lol
we took a deck of cards from that one and left an Alex the Lion
So far we were 4 for 4
Donkeys delight spoiled our winning streak, we just could not find it, reading the logs made it worse as it is "A really easy find and very obvious"
spent around 20 mins before giving up
Our last one for the day was LA Confidental, we couldnt find that one either but after finding a pen and an empty ziplock bag and then noticing the flood signs, we concluded that this one may have been a victim of the recent flooding.
I noted the owner when we got home and he has marked it as disabled till he can check it out
So overall we got 4 out of 6 which I think was pretty good :)
