Geocaching Ipswich

Jan 25, 2010 17:03

since today was my RDO I decided to head out to Ipswich to find a cache I couldnt find last time I Was out there due to old man mowing lawn and a family showing up.
Had a delay on the highway due to a grass fire, the wind was blowing smoke across the road, police held us up till the wind changed.

Finally found the cache after much getting spiked by aloe vera plants I dunno who thought THAT would be a good idea! dropped off my irish Geo coin, there was supposed to be another coin in there but its been taken and not logged.
There was another one along the road but Id forgotten to write details down and the GPS wanted me to go into someones driveway so I gave that one a miss for now.

Back into Ipswich itself for the next two, the first one was in the Nerima Japanese gardens, its the first time Ive been there and it is a very nice spot to sit in the shade and relax, the cache was fairly easy to find, it was between two large boulders, hardly anyone about so I just sat on one of the boulders to write in the log, rehid it and then down to the wildlife gardens for the next one.

Id been here before with Drake and Macrocelli before I took up geocaching, This one was very easy to find as the hiding place is written in the directions, couldnt write in the log cause it was all soggy. took some pics of the heat exhausted animals before heading back home and a nice cool drink!
Logged my finds and put in a maintence report on the soggy one.

took this just as the wind changed and blew the smoke back off the road

The plane near the first cache.

The Nerima Gardens where the second cache was
