Ahh Spring
The cherry trees are in bloom here and this year they are splendid. Maybe I just didn't notice them as much before but I can't remember them being so beautiful.
I was thinking as I drove to work today how much smaller the world seems than when I was just graduating high school. If you'd told me that someday I'd know people from Japan, Europe and Australia or that I'd be able to buy things from anywhere in the world with a few clicks of a button I would've said there was no way. We only had the option of learning Spanish in school and I never believed that I'd ever need that language and I was so wrong. I also never dreamed thatI'd understand a few words of Japanese (admittedly a very few but some have even slipped into my everyday conversations). I just never considered the possibility.
I knew that things would change, I just never imagined how much.
