Blanket stitching pieces of knitting together is just about to surpass the sewing on of buttons and construction of button holes as Most Tedious & Loathed Task Necessary To Completion. I've been making this hat for three days now, and two days of that has been devoted to stitching the modular pieces together.
Two. Days.
Two days worth of solving the
Königsberg bridge problem over and over and over* and oh god make it stop.
Except that I've spent the past 72 hours really wanting to throw it in the wash to felt right now. That is all that has kept me going, because at some level I am convinced of this hat's innate awesomness. But there's got to be a better way of doing this, yeah?
* Tiling together rhombi in this manner is so much easier than hexagons, I'll give it that.
