Yesterday turned out worse for me as I screwed up with my first job interview at Standard Chartered Bank’s main office -- at least I think I did. I cannot believe that I stuttered over a few simple questions. Basic questions like personal information left me tripping over my tongue. I was supposed to be prepared. I don’t know what had gotten into me that time. I’m thinking it might have something to do with the job offer they’re giving me. Before they proceeded, they told me that they were only looking for a few people interested in a 5-month project, meaning a temporary job with them. When I heard those words, I got lost and it was stupid.
In any case, I told them to give me some time to think about it. There are other companies out there who might still be interested to hire me on a permanent basis. I’m just glad they respected it. After the whole thing, I rushed out to meet with friends. Apparently, I’m not the only one who’s down with luck. After an hour long of reflecting where we had gone wrong, we decided to fuck the pain by getting smashed. I got to swill beers and a few shots of illusion. Funny, I wished that day was an illusion...
Tomorrow, it better be right. I’m having another shot at a different company and this time, I hope it turns out well. I can’t afford to trip twice.
