First off, I'm ok.
I went to the Ring of Honor show in Chicago Ridge, Ill., on Saturday. The other four people were all hanging around after the show, so I left ahead of them.
It had been sunny in Chicago, but it rained off and on, during my trip home. It hadn't rained in well over an hour until I drove into Black River Falls, Wis., which is about an hour from my home.
I hit a huge puddle, and I spun out, doing a complete 540-degree spin, and I wound up on a ditch, with my car pointed down toward interstate 94.
A state trooper & a tow truck rescued me. My front bumper ripped completely off, and my back bumper is broke too. But I was able to drive home, with the front bumper in the back seat.
Luckily, my deductible is only $250.
But, I always wear my seatbelt, and my only injury is a small cut on my left side of my chest, from the seat belt cutting into me.
Of course, I'm bummed. But honestly, it wasn't raining that hard, and I wouldn't have done anything different in the way I was driving.
The most absolutely scary moment of my life, though.
