I needed that
I needed that hiatus. For a few months (really? It's been longer??) just to find my feet.
I was a pretty lame blogger and I rarely wrote any fanfic for others to enjoy. I skimped out on exchanges and generally lost my faith in myself. As Xena Warrior Princess, Season 1, tells me, even an acclaimed war hero can lose everything and become a pitiful drunkard if he loses his self-confidence and self-respect.
I lost that self-confidence somewhere along the line; not only that, but even my knowledge of who I was.
So things are different now.
For one thing, I am HEAD OVER HEELS for Xena, and plan on spending approximately $200 American (more dollars for the Euro, it's brilliant) on getting a "library-quality" boxed set of all six seasons, plus a free gift of a mini letter-opener version of Gabrielle's katana thrown in.

I don't know if anyone in my family will be getting gifts this Christmas from me, but... at least they will know I am happy watching the loves of my life getting it on together.
