Snow Crash. Decent book. Pity about the Sumerian/Hebrew info dump, though... I was really pulled into the story, but I'm completely mired around the middle because there's just page after page of knowledge. It's a little like reading a comparative religion textbook.

Holy SHIT is Poets of the Fall's new album nice. Even the bad songs are good in comparison to other artists (and there are bad songs--though maybe I have to listen to them several times to really appreciate them, but "Miss Impossible" just seems boring, and I guess it is a problem to say "save me" in English when in your native language, v's are pronounced like f's). I like "More" and "Psychosis" and "Where Do We Draw The Line". Of course. I'd really, really recommend POTF to anyone with interest in rock--or no interest, just semi-decent taste in music.

I've downloaded this pretty nice Firefox add-on.... so that I can do THIS:

नेपाल हिदी

which would be more useful if I knew how to say anything besides "hello, how are you" in Hindi. But I'm learning. After German (which will become extraordinarily easy next year if I go to a German-speaking country) I'll focus more on Hindi, and then after I'm confident in both of those I'll see what I can do about Japanese. But it'd be suicide to try and teach myself Japanese, so I guess I'd invest in a class. Or go to Japan. Both, preferably.

Is it plagiarism to use manga storylines in fan fiction? Eh, probably not.
