"Aish!" Minho angrily threw his phone onto the hard pavement.
Minho and his girlfriend had been fighting for two days, you see. Minho wasn't the kind of guy who could comfort people, and he hated it. Seeing her mad and upset made his heart ache and he couldn't do anything about it. He ran his long fingers through his hair, grudgingly picked up his now scratched phone, and headed towards the dorm.
Dinner went by quickly, the members quiet, afraid of provoking their flaming charisma even more. Of course, Key had a meeting, thus assigning Minho the job of cleaning up. Sighing, Minho poured himself a glass of water before starting to wash the dishes. This task kept his hands busy, but his mind kept wandering to his girlfriend. He didn't notice the soap he accidentally poured into his glass of water. After he had finished, he looked at his water. It must be the light, he thought when he saw a sort of yellow mixing in his water. Just to be safe, he took a sip, tasting it.
"ENGUUUUHH!" He spit out the soap water and rinsed out his mouth. He looked back at his drink, watching the rest of the soap mixing with the water.
I know an amazing experiment
If you put a few drops of soap into a cup
The divided oil and water
That had their back to each other, mixes as one
After pouring out the water, he sighed again, images of her face flashing in his mind. Happy, sad, tired.
This is so much like us
We fight like we will never see each other again
And then become mixed in the soap called love
Suddenly all the animosity disappears
Minho's hand tightened to a fist, remembering her mad face. He had seen it a few times before, but not as mad as this time. What the hell are we even fighting about? He wracked his brain, coming up with no answers.
We fight a hundred times,
And our hearts break a hundred times
But like tangled pieces of string,
Our love can't be pulled apart
We fix our faults,
Learn each other's hearts
I know that one day,
Only our happiness will be left
-Minho flashes back to the scenes with his girlfriend-
It was in the middle of October, the sky was clear, the sun was shining. A perfect day for a confession. Minho lead her to the booth. They were at a festival, and he wanted to make it romantic, even though he knew nothing about love. Yes, he had watched dramas with Key and had used a tissue or two. Yes, he had read many romance novels. Yes, he had flipped through countless 'Women' magazines while waiting in the waiting rooms. What he didn't know was how it felt to be in love. Not until he met her, hair cascading down her small shoulders, eyes pure and innocent. They quickly became friends after they met.
Minho presented her with a bouquet of roses with a nervous smile on his lips. "I-I-I love you. Will you go out with me?"
He still remembered what happened that day. A smile spread across her face, she blushed and nodded. He reached out, brushed a strand of hair out of her face and placed it behind her ear. Her face flushed a deep shade of red.
-Flashes to another scene-
Minho slammed his hand onto the ringing alarm clock. It was 7am and he had planned a date with her that day. Unfortunately, his manager decided to squeeze another interview last night, leaving the SHINee members with barely 5 hours of sleep. He knew he had to keep his promise, he didn't want to risk seeing her sad and disappointed face. Attempting to hide his exhaustion, he smiled whenever she looked at him. I have to keep it together today no matter what! In the middle of the date, when they were walking in the the park, she decided to sit down. "I know you're tired, honey, so you can sleep." She smiled up at Minho, shrugging one shoulder, allowing him to rest on her. He looked at her, thinking.
"It's okay, I don't mind." She winked at Minho, beckoning him to come closer. "Only for a few minutes." He mumbled as his eyes slowly closed.
-End of flashbacks-
Minho had found one of his diaries he had kept and was flipping through it. Every page had her mentioned on it. He smiled at all of the things he wrote down.
I'll try to say the awkward words of love
(I love you, I love you)
Even on the days where I'm tired,
I hide my tired expression just for you
In my daily diaries
There is nothing but talks of you
We will show each other once in a while
It would be nice if we were happy
Her smile flashed in Minho's head once again.
We fight a hundred times,
And our hearts break a hundred times
But like tangled pieces of string,
Our love can't be pulled apart
We fix our faults,
Learn each other's hearts
I know that one day,
Only our happiness will be left
He groaned. Minho knew nothing would happen unless he sucked up his pride and went to make up. An idea pops into his head as he quickly grabs his coat and head out.
Minho felt a hand on his shoulder. "Don't get too crazy now." Jonghyun smirked before letting his dongseng go. Minho waved a thanks a continued to the park. It's time to set up.
At first we couldn't meet
But how is it so different now
Still you don't know how much
I want to keep on meeting you
You keep me alive
So that I can feel you
Even though we are so different
Our love will stay the same
Texting his girlfriend, Minho went in front of the fountain to wait.
Meet me at the park
I have something to tell you.
-Minho
10 minutes later, she arrived in a taxi, curious. Why is it so dark? Aren't the street lamps supposed to be on?
As she slowly walked along the path, lights began to come on. Each step she took, there would be two lights on either side of the path lighting up. She giggled, wondering what would occur. When she got to the end, where the fountain was, nothing happened for a moment. In a few seconds, the fountain lit up, flashing different colors as bubbles began to fill the air. Minho stood in the middle, holding a cake, and putting on the cutest face, pouting. "Will you forgive me, baby?"
I don't want a love that will evaporate away like bubbles
A love that will be felt without words
That is the love I want
When you are with me,
You can't ride in golden carriages even in our dreams
But while you are still with me
I can make you smile
"Minho oppa..." She began, tearing up.
"I love you, too." Minho finished, putting the cake down and wrapping his arms around her.
Love's way!
Love's way!
You are my true love
Though our hobbies are different,
And our thoughts are different,
Our habits have become similar,
The way we talk becomes similar
Minho pulled away as she looked up at him with a pout. He laughed and kissed her soft lips. It was an apology kiss, asking forgiveness and sweet at the same time. They both sat down on a nearby bench, her eyes drooping. "I love you, Minho."
He looked down. She was fast asleep, her breathing slow and steady. "I love you, too, baby."
And even the times we fall asleep,
After we talk at night
Have become the same.
