You just made me waste an hour of my day trying to figure out why my internet went down. And I even blamed my kittens! I want an apology. Or fresh baked goods.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ANYONE RUNNING WINDOWS XP AND ZONEALARM:
Installing the latest Windows XP update will break your internet connection!
DO NOT install Update # KB951748
If you did install it, then you probably can't read this right now, but here's the fix:
Change your Internet Security settings in ZoneAlarm from High to Medium
-or-
Uninstall Windows XP Update KB951748. Go to Add/Remove Programs, and click the "show updates" box at the top.
ZoneAlarm (and XP users everywhere) are currently up in arms about this. Here's hoping at least a few of you catch this warning before installing updates.
