Updated Life: Part 1

I've been promising to update my journal for a while now and I'm going to try before I head out to do errands today.

Working At Fellowship House Inc. So I started the new job a few weeks ago. I really like it so far. There's more paper work than I expected, but I get to work the clients alot too. After doing two weeks of training, I got a client... who turned around and left after a week. But I working with two new clients now. I'm teaching classes on Tuesday mornings and doing doing some Med Management and Double Trouble groups every other week. On top of that, I'm helping with admissions for the dual diagnosed clients Bill wants help with. I really like nearly all the staff there. Its really a smaller group, so everyone's closer and they good off alot with each other. I'm getting paid more and have insurance. I'm the youngest, least experienced, lowed education staff person and only one of two without a past addiction, so I'm a bit outside the norm... but I guess I don't feel so bad when some of the staff ask for my help and advice on certain clients. I need to get back to school sometime and get that silly LPC.

Books, Beans, and Candles MS I'm spending alot of time there too. While I need to get more art up there, I'm really more of a non-employed employee there too. I help close the shop when Mitch can't and clean up stuff, run the register, and help clients.I bought a drum and helped work a weekend while Mitch and Darbee were out of town. I can also make coffee and drinks there. I didn't like Frapps until we started making them. Yum. We game there, drink coffee, drum and sing, watch movies and Buffy, and generally have great talks. Its where everybody knows you name and you're always glad you came. We've got alot to do for the Harry Potter Party and new inventory and and and.... its great. I love the place so much!

Geekness My game continues. Its fun and I really love the guys. Don is childish, but very sweet. Tanner and Ryan are my old buddies, really helping with story. Marty plays the stereotypical dwarf and really loves the outlet. Nathan is awesome, playing our comic relief and is really a great guy. And of course Mitch playing his lef is really learning alot about the game and having so much fun with it.... if his dice would just cooperate. I'm also in the Gurp Amnesia game thats like a big story puzzle for me. Now that weddings stuff is over, I'll probably head back to the LARP and Nathan is going to run a Buffy/comedy/horror game when I can or don't want to run Dragonlance. Mmmmm... Geek.

More to come
