Blue Death, Tats, and Snow

Jan 23, 2008 11:03

It snowed. And all the joys that come with snow. First snow for kids and pets, mini snow men on cars, and cheesy news casts about hell freezing over. I played a little with it, but not much. Saturday morning I was at Patrick and Patricia’s. The kids in the apartment down below were playing and I wrapped myself in a blanket to take up snowball fighting as a spectator’s sport.

I got some errands done on Friday, getting mat board and frames for the psychic fair. People made jokes about my stocking up on frames for the snow storm. I’d actually forgotten about it at that point. After that, I hung out with Tanner a good bit at the shop. Then dinner and playing games at Patrick and Patricia’s. Actually, we drank wine and cocoa and watched Roscoe tell stories, which was even more fun.

Saturday after the snow was deemed non-lethal, Patricia and I braved the “elements” so I could get down to Aerochild. See, Friday I went down to try and talk to Keely, but he was very busy and got talking to this other artist, Aaron. He showed me some of his work, seemed a real nice guy so I made an appointment for the next day. When I showed up, the art that he’d done wasn’t at all what I’d thought of…. But I liked it a lot better. Its more cherub wings. See, I got the dragon wing and angel wing added to my current “Struggle for Balance” on my back. Turned out really good. Still healing and all. Aaron said he’d touch it up if it got too light or didn’t match the original tat. Was cheaper than I got quoted too.

Anyways, after some chill time at the shop, I got some lotion and a sammich with Patricia. Tanner, Sparkey and I ran out to Empire for a bit of down time gaming where Deckard’s will was read. Then back to the shop to loose $10 at poker. Tanner played a few games of Rayman’s Rabbid and then an evening of Red vs Blue.

Sunday was filled with geek. We got set up for our Ravenloft game. It’ll be much fun. Then cosmo’s for pizza and singing with a table of regular gay guys. The evening finished with hanging out. Kelli and I got tickles about Red vs Blue and I ended up channeling Caboose.

Monday too was rather chill. I debated AI and religion with Tanner and Cullen. Then made dinner and watched Red vs Blue and Mushi-shi. Robert and the Ryans joined us and talked geek for a while.

Last night was simple Apples vs Apples and then over to Adam’s place with Kelli and Alex for some Wii games.

I think I’m a bit sick, my tat is healing, I’ve got a lot to do. OH, Reminder

SATURDAY, JANUARY 26
11 - 4
Psychic fair and Anniversary Sale at Books, Beans, and Candles.
I’ll be there doing my portrait thing, as well as Tarot reading, Rune reading, astrology, throwing the bones, pranic healing and massage. There will also be cotton candy and popcorn as far as I know.

And if you still want to get in to the Eastern Vampire and Changers game, we WILL be playing this Saturday night around 6pm. Go ahead and get your characters done. If you need help, James and I live next door to each other. I’ll try and get some character sheets for when he’s not home.

Meaningful Phrase: “Death is Blue and hand knitted with Love.”
