Weary, but happy to be home. The weather did a 180 on us at the last minute, and we had at least three terrific days, with only Friday evening giving us some rain. We all had a really good time, and I've come to the realization that this WIP is not going to be satisfied with a mere 60K words. I won't be done the first draft this month. Sigh. I can't help that it wants to be longer, can I? I've been fighting and thinking and no, it just wants more words. So more words it will get.
I'll post more about the vacation tomorrow, but wanted to drop in. I did have a decent internet connection, but just checked e-mails and blogs and stuff. Over at the
Independent Book Report is an article I wrote while I was away, about the differences between small press and self/vanity publishing.
Oh, and if you could, run on over to
Ciar Cullen's blog and vote for RETURN TO ZANDRIA for best book of the summer! I also got a great review in my mailbox today, and as soon as it's posted I'll link you all up to it.
I need some sleep.See ya tomorrow.
