I prefer rewriting over first-drafting too, but, you know, those Infernal Internal Editors are always so dang impatient. That's why I write first drafts by hand instead of via computer: I can more easily pour that first draft out of me and have my inner editor unleash itself whenever I finally take the time to type it up. :)
