Why is it that during the summer, when I should have MORE time, I seem to have less? During the school year I get up at 5 am and read, and I'm usually done after a day or two. But during summer I seem to be cramming everything in! I'm working on my R+J paper, and reading Hamlet and the stuff for my Narration class and polishing my NF piece. I want to find time to start the new book too - which I DID take some time and do research for yesterday, and I am so excited about now. I need to sit and write before that excitement wanes. Tonight, no question. If I get everything else done. And I need to catch up on my critiques and non-school reading.
Sheesh. Today I need to take Ry to Kohl's and get him some more shorts and a pair of sandals. And me too. The first week of summer vacation and my house still looks like a bomb went off in it.
I blame Twitter. And the minor crisis of needing a new car - that DID kind of suck up a lot of time this week.
Anyway, let's all cheer for
cyn2write and
lisamantchev, whose books were birthed this week! I've already read EYES LIKE STARS (which is fabulous; my review will run in the summer edition of TALES OF THE TALISMAN) and I have a copy of FAIRY TALE sitting in my TBR pile. It might just shift to the top.
Happy book birthdays!
