Make the Best of It.

The signing.... well.... I can't get down about it. Not at all. It was for a library, and I always enjoy being at the library, because they're not in it for the money, but just to see that people have something to read. The weather was terrible - it rained off and on all day. Other authors before me had better turnout, I think the romance writer had the best crowd, but that's almost to be expected. Who knows who I am anyway? But I had a few people during my talk - which I read parts of both Talisman of Zandria and my Wizard Academies story.  And I met a librarian from another library in a different town, and she wants me to come down there for Teen Read week in October. October's looking busy. The Collingswood Book Festival, I'll be there,  and possibly the West Virginia Book Festival too. So that'll be three weekends in October.

And I might have gotten my picture in the paper. I have to go and buy a copy and see. The photg from the local paper I don't get was there, and I know she took a couple of shots. They weren't in the online version.

And, as always with events, I get to meet new people. So that's always a plus.

Today, Hubby's at the race in Dover, so Boy-child and I will head down to the park for the local Community Day, postponed from yesterday due to weather.

I actually did get things done, writing-wise this weekend too... finished the last edit of Crown before it goes to David for mutilation, I mean editing, and added 1,000 words to my next WA story. It's very nearly done, I think I can finish up that first draft this week. I really need to work on Ankh and get it in submission shape.
ambasadora is waiting to give it a read for me. The whole opening scene needs to be ripped out, and at least one needs to be rewritten. She's the best :)

Have a lovely Sunday!
