I AM DONE. All the gifts, except one I'm waiting for and half of Ry's, are wrapped. Hubby's too. We trekked to the store and purchased the last of the boxes and bags I needed to wrap certain gifts. Ry's teacher's gifts are done - there are two teachers and two aides in his room - and the last one I was waiting for (well, until yesterday when I ordered something else) arrived in the mail. The very last thing should be here this weekend, and only because when we went to the store yesterday they didn't have what I was looking for, so I had to order it. Free second -day shipping, so not really upset about it.
I was actually working on Ry's gifts last night...and I ran out of tape. Seriously, I have piles of gifts all wrapped, got down to the last of it and no more tape. Argh.
I'm off today, and I'll be working on hammering out this short story for Bad-Ass Faeries 2. It's coming along, but being stubborn about it. Second-round edits are finished, back to the editor, and waiting in the queue for the Final Line Editor. The marketing plan's been done and sent to the marketing dept. Nothing left to do but wait for FLE's and get ready for the release in Feb.
Still studying for the Praxis. Science won't be too hard - I reviewed some things I'd forgotten. Social studies seems to be the big monster, everyone I've talked to said so. Lots of history to cover, lots of random facts to know. So I've been looking up stuff listed in the study guide that I didn't know off the top of my head. There's both US and World History, including bits about neolithic period and Ancient Cultures (which I think I can pretty much nail; Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome are subjects I've spent a lot of time with lately). And Sociology. Ick. It should be okay. Once I'm done with studying, I'll take the practice test and see where I'm missing information and then do a last sweep of studying.
At some point I suppose I should start working on the treatment for the WA TV episode. Also being stubborn. Then I have to get back to the third Library of Athena book. SInce we've moved Ankh up to July, I'd like to have it done and submitted before then. It's half done in first draft (ack!) but I've had some ideas about it which should make finishing it up not too terrible. And of course I start my English courses for my second Bachelor's at the end of January. Foundations of Literarture (a foundation course, obviously; I couldn't get out of it), and 17th and 18th century British Literature. Actually I don't mind that one. At some point I have to take a genre fiction course, and I'm hoping the Fantasy course is available online during some semester; it wasn't available for Spring. Maybe Fall.
Okay, enough rambling. Off to write.
