I did survive, I did survive... Hey ,hey!
I made it through the weekend! The kids party was terrific - all the little 'uns had a blast, just running and jumping and sliding for an hour. Cake and ice cream and out the door. Spongebob was a big hit. Yes, I have pics, but haven't gotten them off my camera yet.
After that was over I had my sister and her boyfriend and the kids over for pizza. Ry and Noodle (sister's boyfriend's daughter, Ry and she are the same age) had a ball playing with Ry's stuff. We rarely have other children over, so it was a treat for him.
The adult party was fun. We had tons of food, and they ate just about all of it. Ry got to see some people he hasn't seen in a long time, like his Aunt Allison, my hubby's sixteen year old sister. Another week and a half and we do it all over again for Thanksgiving.
Glad it's not at my house though. I just have to make cheesecake and apple pie.
In other news, I 've heard from my new editor, and I should have my first round edits next week. That's good, because this week is just so swamped. I've got to work three days in a row, then a day off to prepare for Philcon. Which I have to start on Friday night. I might have another panel at the con, since the children's programmer hasn't finished his panels yet.
I also got my cover blurb for CROWN back. It looks good. I'm still anticipating the cover art. I'm drooling for the cover art. They do such a fabulous job with all the covers, I can't wait to see what Scott (Carpenter) or Anne (Cain) comes up with.
