Well, as the title of this entry states, it's Haunted House time again. Just like last year, Joe is in it full time and I'm basically a fill in. But we were both cast and it's in Manhatten this year, so it's considered off-Broadway! So we're in an off-Broadway show!! *Smiles proudly* This year it's called Nightmare Haunted House: Ghost Stories. That's in the main part of the house. There's also a maze. Joe is in the main house and is playing a character called The Gore Master! Aptly named, too, since there are piles of guts and body parts in his room and it's an overall red colour. Basically he's a demon. Hmmmm....my son the demon! As usual, he's extremely scary! I'm in the maze so far and fill in for a couple of the full timers in the house. (Mostly the foam pit ghost, the grandma, and possibly the phantom) In the maze, I'm the mad doctor and get to wear my bloody lab coat again. Yes, we're both getting paid to do this and apparently are called the scariest people in all of New York. LOL Yeah, Joe and I weren't suprised at that either. Also I may be playing a zombie nurse in an independent film. LOL I'm not doing much to promote hospitals with these roles, am I? I mean, I was the psychiatrist last year and this year I'm a mad doctor, and a possible future zombie nurse. I'm being typecast as psychotic medical professionals! *Glares at everyone who just isn't suprised at that* Oh, and we already got to scare Robert. Hee hee hee
Unfortunately, for every bit of good news, there's some bad news to go with it. Monday night I went to the doctor for a followup for a sinus infection that I had. While there, I asked her about my ankles, which have been swelling for about a week and a half. They get better when I elevate them but it just comes right back. Anyway, she sent me to the Emergency Department, who decided to keep me there overnight. Overnight turned into a day and a half. *Sighs* They thought I had a blood clot in my leg or lungs, so I had far too many tests. They all turned out negative, thank goodness. Then, however, they decided to do an EKG at the last minute and THAT turned out to be abnormal. And since I've always had normal EKGs, both the ER doctor and my doctor insist that I go to a cardiologist immediately and won't clear me for work til I get seen by one. That won't stop me from doing the show, just from working at the hospital. So, great, now I have a heart problem on top of other things. Maybe I'm really 90 and no one told me. LOL
The other thing that's been going on is that I'm trying to get the hospital to pay me correctly. They're not and I'm sick of it so I went to a lawyer. If they don't respond to the letter my lawyer sent or the call that will be made, I have no choice but to sue the hospital. As it is they owe me a truckful of money, which if I'm forced to sue them, will be doubled at the very least because of the emotional distress and lawyer fees. One way or the other, they will have to start paying me correctly. They have absolutely no reason not to. No legal reason anyway. Well, that's it. Househunting is on hold til I get the problem with my job resolved. I'm going to go and sulk about my heart now.
