And when it rains the rain falls down...

I haven't updated this thing in almost 4 days. Weird. Well, at least for me.

Anywho, not a lot has happened. Which is mostly the reason I haven't updated. Normally I would feel very "ahh, stop being antisocial and call people!" but, oddly enough, doing nothing has been extremely satisfying. I just needed time to reboot and these last 3 days of: getting up at 10, eating lunch with sister/parents, watching tv until oprah's over, and then going to work until 9...have been quite nice.

Ooo, I finally had some reading time. I bought two books, one on Paris after the liberation and the other on the Courtesans. I started reading the latter, but really haven't had time to get into it. I don't work until tuesday so I'm hoping I'll find time to wrap up in my flannel blanket in the basement and read. Gah, I really am antisocial right now.

Heheh...although, Dustin and I are planning a trip to Washington, Kansas tomorrow. Why? Just for the hell of it. I love stuff like that, and although I'll probably have to make up some sort of excuse for why we're going...I somehow doubt my parents will say no either way. They've finally realized that I'm not 12 years old anymore and I need to experience to be experienced.

As of yesterday, "Amoreena" is my new favorite Elton John CD. Fuck off Mellow. You're no good anymore!

Speaking of, yaaaay rain.

So I was thinking today: Do liberal republicans even exist anymore? The newest wave of Republicans has become overwhelmingly conservative, which violates every modern theory for social evolution. Fundamentalist christians who can't even lift a finger without consulting the bible make me sick. People always says Conservatives have answers and Liberals have ideas, which to me proves nothing more than...curbed thinking. Republicans have become so disgustingly ideological they feel obligated to stick to party parameters...which, as of recently, means...the bible. Why can't people just think for themselves?

Anyway, thinking about this summer makes me sigh in the best way possible. Life is good right now.
