Another Christian recently mentioned the handshape made with the index and little fingers extended and the middle and ring fingers down, commonly known as the sign of the beast.

It got me thinking about the fact that that handshape is used in signed languages, in versions with the thumb up and with the thumb down. (For instance, in ASL, the thumb-out version is "I love you" while the thumb-down version is used to sign the word llama.)
