Every Sunday at church we recite the Lord's Prayer together. Very rarely, however, do I think about what I'm saying. I did today.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name.
Above all creation, above all mankind, above all good, above all evil...there is God.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Slowly but surely this world is returning to how God originally intended, until that final day when His kingdom is fully restored.
Give us this day our daily bread.
God knows what we need, and will provide for us.
And forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
God is forgiving, and wants us to reflect His mercy by forgiving others.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
In this life we will face many trials and temptations. But God strengthens us day by day.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen
Kingdoms and reigns come and go, but God's kingdom will last forever.
Just something I wanted to share.
