Operation Holiday Card

Dec 03, 2006 10:14

I'd like to take a moment to urge all my fellow Americans to send some cards to soldiers this Christmas season. They are living far away from home. Many have families. Many are probably homesick for home. It's a simple gesture that could mean a lot to a lonely soldier. I know this is an unpopular war, and I'd like nothing more than to see our soldiers start coming home early next year; but please take a moment to send a card to a soldier, if only to thank them for their service to our country.

Here's where you can send your cards:

Operation Holiday Card
PMB 284
6658 Youree Drive Suite 180
Shreveport, LA 71105

I hope that this will not cause debate about the war, or over whether one should send "Holiday cards" or "Christmas cards". I am just hoping to make people aware that they can make a small gesture to let our soldiers know they are not forgotten.
