I was just inspired by the beautiful writing of the show, and couldn't resist exploring their portrayal of the events described in scripture. (The title for this fic is borrowed from the Christmas carol of the same name.)

Summary: After a day filled with rejection - from the Pharisees in the marketplace, and even from those he would call his friends - a disabled shepherd hears the Good News and is forever changed. (Based on the Christmas episode of The Chosen, "the first multi-season show about the life of Christ," which in turn is based on the events in Luke Chapter 2.)
A/N: The Chosen is one of the most powerful pieces of film and storytelling I have seen. It is "the first-ever-multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus." This fic is based on their Christmas episode, "The Shepherd," the first short film they created, which then became a multi-season show.
